I don’t think he was good at all today to be honest, should have kept hold of the shot which led to their goal, and got lucky with a few others, but with the butland situation I honestly don’t know whi I would put in goal for the next match, really hard choice for Nathan

Certainly did enough to keep Jack out of the side for now.

Even his 1 mistake wasn't as bad as any of Butlands. He has to stay in for the foreseeable

Would still like to see what Davies can do, but definite Federici ahead of Butland for now

While Jones is here I don't think we'll see Davis in a Stoke shirt if the rumours are to be believed.

www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/danish-twist-to-o-neill-s-looming-switch-to-k-league-20191231-p53nwa.htmlMuch has been said about the dearth of Australian goalkeepers coming through the ranks, so it's no surprise to see former Socceroo shot-stopper Adam Federici emerge as one of the most sought after A-League transfer targets for next season. The 34-year-old is in the final six months of his contract with the English Championship club Stoke City. He became free to speak with other clubs last week and has had no shortage of offers from A-League clubs.

Would make sense for him and us, he is a steady keeper but as he is 34 Butland is the better short to medium term option if he can stop throwing them in the net. Plus we need to free up space so the 3rd choice is a youngster as it seems from Bursik down in every age group we have 1 or 2 keepers playing for their country.

Providing space for one of our youngsters as third choice keeper would also help to again save on wages. Federici must be on at least 500k per year, so a free transfer now would free up another 250k or so - 'every little helps'
