Fantastic work rate but absolutely awful finishing. Should have had an easy hat trick today. Not really helped by Campbell who was his usual bone idle self. Subs made the difference up top.

I did enjoy it but the team performance deserved far better than 2-1.

Agreed, finishing is extremely poor. Should have buried at least two of the three chances that he had today. Shame really, given his work rate but it's good to see Jones swap the two strikers out, which actually got us a result.

I don't blame him for the one he put into the side netting today, I don't think he had much time to really think about it. However, the one he had in the second half, that he failed to pick up neither Allen or Campbell, and put into the GK was a very poor decision. I think he's a decent player, but he shouldn't be our No1 striker.

We can't afford to keep playing him with the chances he misses. One was from a yard out, albeit at an angle.
Not good enough.
I'd still persevere with him for now but Vokes looked alright when he came on. Certainly ran more than usual

He gets into good positions and whilst he should’ve taken at least one of today’s chances, I still think he offers enough. He will come good as hopefully he and the team’s confidence increases.

i did post on here the other week Gregory is not good enough and people tried to slate me, i never knocked is work rate but the guy simply is not the striker to score 15 or 20 goals.

Huffs and puffs but distinct lack of quality, no finishing instinct and poor decision making generally. He's not good enough, he's definitely a bottom half Championship level player. For someone who supposedly puts in a shift he's very quiet for large chunks if the game. 3 sitters missed today, could have been very costly and other days will be.

Gregory is awful. Drop him please. Why are you seemingly so quick to jump on someone like Gregory but not Campbell? Gregory doesn’t have the best finishing. But his hold up play and work rate can add something to the team so long as he partners with someone.

I can’t see what Campbell can add to the team.

I thought Campbell was actually ok yesterday with his runs and it was something Lawrence thought too. He stretched the play well. But Vokes and Hogan are both better at the jobs Gregory and Campbell were doing.

We knew before we got him that he wasn't a regular goalscorer, christ, we had enough Millwall fans telling us!!! However, though not being a regular goalscorer, they all still had only good things to say about him!!! He's your workhorse up front, he needs a regular scorer with him, he's there to do all the donkey work.....a bit like Sidebe did with Fuller!!! He's good for us, but he's simply not a striker, and shouldn't be played as one....he's a forward, end of, so when Jones plays him as a lone striker, it's killing him, the team AND the fans!!!

Gregory and Hogan together up front looked a promising combination earlier in the season.
Breaking them up is another of Nathan’s bizarre decisions.

Looking back SJWs finishing was better than he was given credit for, The combination of graft and the ability to put the ball away is rare at our level. However I would still stick with Gregory for a while yet, if he gets in the groove for a little while he’s a handful for the opposition as long as we don’t isolate him and play the sort of game that relies on him making something out of nothing.

Gregory did a lot of good work and i would still prefer him and Campbell up front. Vokes is useful and he would probably be the only other i would rather play along side Campbell. If it weren't for Hogan scoring, i would have said he did fuck all when he came on.
