Not really, I think its quite funny.
We could do the same. Free deodorant and condoms for a Vale shirt. Make them smell better and stop interbreeding.

It’s quite a clever piece of paddy power style marketing. At a time when we’re making national headlines for the wrong reasons, it gives vale the chance to momentarily emerge from the shadows of irrelevance and bask in the surplus limelight. It’s all rather parasitic but then port vale’s raison d’etre is parasitic in nature.

Ha ha, this is actually quite funny. It's also going to prove to be completely short-sighted and counter-productive.
We're stinking the place out at the moment, so the Vale have spied a chance to make hay while the sun shines and cause a little mischief.
But what are the odds that our owners won't forget this little episode, and one day, when we're on the way back up, and it will happen one day, they'll do something similar which will hurt the Vale a hell of a lot more than this little jape will hurt us.

It's actually a marketing campaign our lot could only dream of. It's funny, it is tinpot but that adds to it, it takes the piss out of a close neighbour and it will get press coverage. I do hope we question them on their disposal of the few shirts they get in. Go all Greta Thornberg on them.  |

i think its funny. People are sensitive because they feel like they need to be. If Man Utd started handing out free tops to Children at Stoke schools, we would be applauding Stoke if they did something similar in response.

I believe it was a popular scheme in an era where Charlton were strongly promoting themselves and gates were increasing too. |
