Jones was a broken man on TV last night, he was absolutely devastated and cut a forlorn figure. He was also genuinely sorry he hasn't delivered. Feel for him a bit but he has to go. Whoever the new manager is I wish them well, even if it's Toxic Tony. "Whoever the new manager is I wish them well, even if it's Toxic Tony". Bloody hell Pugs, you must be in a bad way!

With Hughton being mates with Jones you can see why the board want to do this properly and with dignity.
They'll let him say his goodbyes properly before they announce it I'm guessing.

If he is gone, which you would think there was no way he wasn't, what reason is there not to announce it?

Whoever the new manager is I wish them well, even if it's Toxic Tony. Oddly enough I saw his shoulders a load lighter than after the Forest game. Last night was resignation and apologies. Post Forest he threw the players under the bus as he must have had an internal stress level resembling the hull of Das Boot popping rivets off on the seabed due to the pressure. I’m certain he and the players knew he was gone before last night- and funnily enough I think he may even be relieved.

I swear they said on talksport news this morning he had been sacked. They then stopped reporting it.

Most other clubs, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the longer it goes on the more promising it is as far as getting a good quality replacement is concerned? Our club is the opposite - you can almost hear Scholes arguing the toss with Chris Hughton over petrol expenses.

I get the feeling that Nathan may be in charge until after Swansea, and they'll use the international break to then get the replacement lined up and introduced, and allow him a week or so to get organised. Sack him now and who is in charge for Saturday? That's possibly what they're thinking.

I think we would have a better chance without him for Swansea plus the press conference will be a car crash just can’t see him been in charge Saturday

It would be madness to have him still manager at Swansea but this is Stoke so quite likely
