Butland - 3. Absolute liability at the moment. Should be in therapy as he seems mentally shot, not in goal for us. Edwards - 3. Gash. Can't defend, especially weak defending back-post headers. His crossing, which used to be his best asset, is now either short or over-hit CCV - 5. Spectacularly mediocre. BMI - 6. Our best defender, which isn't really saying much .... McClean - 4. Can't ever fault his effort, but not a natural full-back and only a very average winger. Clucas - 4. Drifts in and out of games. Never imposes himself on games. Ndiaye - 8. Good effort, still looks a little rusty but still quality and at least does seem to be playing for the team. Etebo - 9. Man of the Match performance; best player on view tonight. Powell - 5. Good first half-hour showing some nice touches and quality, but clearly not match fit and faded second half. Hope he can stay fit ... Ince - 3. Show pony. Good shot that led to Gregory's goal, but nothing else positive to add. Bottles out of too many challenges, loses the ball far too easily. Flatters to deceive. Gregory - 7. Well-taken goal, lots of effort, but still getting little support and service. Needs a proper forward as a strike partner
Lindsay - 4. His passing was meant to be an asset when he signed. Seen no evidence of this, unless he's under orders to just lump it forward? Campbell - 5. Another one who flatters to deceive. Vokes - 5. Should be playing better than he is, but doesn't. Doesn't seem to win much in the air or hold the ball up well. Burnley must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Butland 4 - little to do but that error started the rot Edwards 2 - confidence shot, needed to get crosses in not go backwards, defending was awful CCV 6 - steady Bruno 7 best defender but may need to be sacrificed to LB 'cos we sure as hell can't keep using McClean there McLean 6 - tireless but not a LB Ndiaye 8 - hope his injury isn't bad, we need him Etebo 8 - immense, as he and Badou are carrying half the team Clucas 3 - Clueless. Decison making throughout the tteam is poor but his is possibly the worst, except when Cousins plays Ince 3 - our most talented player who only plays for (with?) himself and then only when he can be arsed Powell 6 - calm, can see the bigger picture and play the killer pass...need to get him, and keep him, fit...unlikely to happen Gregory 7 - works his socks off and deserved his goal Lindsey 3 - can't pass water Campbell 4 - tried but only for himself (see Ince) Vokes 2 - not suited for this team, no movement, no pace, maybe his money is weighing him down With a left back and a better right back we would have won last night, Forest were no great shakes. Tuesday: Federici: Smith Baath CCR Indi: McClean Badou Etebo Powell Clucas or Ince: Gregory The paucity of our squad means the likes of Clucas and / or Ince still need to be playing Read more: oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/290795/player-ratings#ixzz60pGzqvpO

Surprised at some of the low ratings for Powell. Thought he did well.
