One of my grandads was born in Sproatley. My Dad, who is the non-Staffordshire element of the family, was born in Aldbrough, and I still get over to Holderness fairly regularly with work. A very under-rated part of the country I feel - vast, beautiful skies, although I am convinced that constant exposure to those biting coastal winds does send people a bit strange over time .

I enjoyed it if I remember rightly. yes the landlord Ron died iast year daughter and son run it now its alot cleaner your feet no longer stick to the floor its a absolute golt mine they have been printing money since 1984ish when started brewing himseif Its a very popular pub with camera types but its not for me
