100%. Can’t legislate for some of they defending. Do feel for him. Sorry, cant agree. He's the manager. He's responsible for how badly we defend. It's all on him. He didn't tell Butland to drop the ball or Edwards to fanny about with it instead or hitting row z

Surely Jones must go. Trouble is who can get a tune out of this company of players? This lot IMHO would not beat Port Vale!

He cares but his crossing is woeful, he's not wrong. Getting rid of Verlinden proving to be yet another clanger. ...hes been played out of position - what do you expect He's played as a winger all his life and his crossing is constantly poor. Nearly as poor as the excuse you've just given him. You are allowed to admit he works hard but is a bit shit as well you know?

Ince is shit, expects everyone else to do the work. Nah. He's a winger. Clearly being played in the wrong position. Played well elsewhere.

May as well start filming "Stoke City till I Die" now? They'll get Nello out if Mothballs again?

Hughton in please or pretty please Javi Gracia. However, if it means Scholes goes I would welcome TP back with open arms. Even I'd think about swapping Scholes for TP and that's saying something.

You are allowed to admit he works hard but is a bit shit as well you know? Lawrence has just slaughtered his crossing. 9 out of 10 of his hit the defender. We can't win with service with that. Give us a good winger and/or left back, we could get wins.

This is not a great team, even on toilet paper. At least McClean tried, but he's garbage, and pretty boy Ince, a waste of fresh air! Edwards, shocking. Etebo was superb, but he must be as frustrated as f--k playing alongside this lot. N'diaye looked all right until his injury.

The fucking Pulis louses are crawling out from their fetid nests I see.
That arsehole comes back and I’m finding another sport to follow until he’s fucked off again.
That will be the final straw, I’d rather go down.

He may as well be sacked

Pulis would divide the fanbase, but the reality of the situation is we need somebody to galvanise the team and give them a short sharp shock. Pulis would go through the club like a dose of salts and sort it out, most would agree with this?

Not being stuck in the past like a worrying portion of our fan base still is over a man who’s football went out of date in 1987 and bottled the biggest day in our clubs history for a fucking game against Swansea. We’re shit, we need to start from the bottom like Wolves, Southampton, Norwich etc.

We are Sunderland We are Sunderland
Too bigger club to descend into the abyss..not
An all my life supporter who first went to the Vic with his old man 40 years ago. Done the Blyth times but some how this is worse...inexplicably, still believe NJ was a good idea but now an ancient warlord maybe the only option...tis amazing in this world of wank tolerance that the old school boot throwers still apparently get results? Lesson maybe? Who knows? Peter....trust yourself... lets face it if you lose £50m over the next two/three years are you going hungry?...no...and if you build a future winning side you'll be a hero (as you have done before!). Trust your gut and do what you know is right.

I watched the whole game carefully.
Effort was good. Output was poor.
DEFENCE
The main issue seems to be the lack of confidence due to a shaky defence, Butland included. That nervousness seemed to effect Clucas and Edwards particularly.
So leaving out Baath and Davies and leaving in McLean (and missing Shawcross) creates questions of the manager.
I’d have gone: Davies, Edwards, CCV, Baath, BMI
MIDFIELD
Etebo and Ndaiye were immense. Fantastic. But when Ndaiye went off injured, again, it affected the “confidence players” like Ince and Clucas. Can’t play Ince until the side is settled and winning. So yes, some bad luck with the injury but again, some odd selection choices. Allen not missed.
I’d have gone: Woods Etebo Ndaiye Verlinden
ATTACK
Gregory took his goal well. Yet again a 9m striker in Vokes on the bench. Injured or another recruitment error? Powell brought off. Can he last the full 90? Something Jones levelled at Campbell, who he brought on, but sat way too deep for me. So, again, the plan and the execution differing greatly. Does the manager know his best front two? I don’t.
I’d have gone: Powell Campbell
SUMMARY
4 wins in 32. We’re going down unless something changes. Yes we try. Yes we are unlucky. But the output just doesn’t have the quality and we keep making the same mistakes at the back. Conceded 3 goals again. So if Jones cannot fix the back four, he will have to go. Huddersfield is win or bust.

Pulis would go through the club like a dose of salts and sort it out, most would agree with this? Yes, and he needs to be in place by the next game. Christ we have 2 points from 9 games. Even back in 2002 it took TP a few games to turn things around, a few more losses and we will be adrift. The time is now.

That's the only bonus I can think of. He gets results and instils discipline. We can't get the basics right so we need someone to lay those foundations. Not saying he will keep us up but he'll certainly put a rocket up their arses.
