FFS I wish Jones would shut his mouth also reading his latest offering🤔 Thing is he's not wrong any half decent manager should have us near the top of the table. How would that half decent manger stop Butland looking like a lad n dads team keeper, or to keep BMI running in a straight line to stop a cross, or even stop a deflected shot, Jones has done some things wrong but its not all been down to him.

If he’s right I know where there’s a house full of them, it beggars belief how he’s actually made money in his life.
I’ve listened to some shit in my life but without doubt that’s the biggest load of horse shit I’ve ever heard.
He’s obviously taking the piss out of the supporters

I think he'll get a few more games even if he loses because we do have a solution. I know not everyone likes it but TP would be here tomorrow if we asked him and we would stop us from being relegated. I think Peter knows this which means it actually gives Jones more time. Tony Pulis won’t return while Tony Scholes is still at the club.

Every now and then I give Jones more of a chance and then I remember the recent games where we've created nothing and conceded lots of chances and obviously lost. This is after all the nonsense of last season and the 'reshaping' of the squad he's done.
There is a way round this but if Jones thinks it's more of the same or just slight tweaks he's an idiot and soon to be unemployed, annoyingly he will continue to be paid by our board of idiots. People who have riches beyond belief and it's certainly beyond belief when you look at their decision making.

it beggars belief how he’s actually made money in his life. He hasn't really. His daughter has. Before the Internet revolution of the company Coates was just a local businessman, a bit like Billy Bell. He still seems to have the mentality of one. Only difference now is he's minted which just compounds his poor decisions. I'm pretty sure his heart's in the right place. He just comes across as too old fashioned and narrow minded to run a 21st century institution well. There's plenty of evidence of that off the pitch as well as the glaring evidence on it.

I'll be more pissed off if they sack him in 4 games time to be honest. If they were thinking about it, it should have been 3 games ago. Back him up if you're not.
Lessons learned my fucking bumhole.

You can just imagine Jon & Peter in the boardroom..... "pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, bakers man....."
All of a sudden, Scholes sticks his head around the door..... "Peter, radio Stoke want to interview you now"
Peter..... "Awww, what could it possibly be for this time???"

Coates doesn't seem to be offering anything more than dragging ourselves away from the bottom. I think he has written the season off in so much as anything that was originally hoped for. He's right on that much. It's not season ticket renewal time...I expect the empty promises will start again after Xmas. Until then they don't really want anything from us do they... Some appreciation for the personal millions ploughed into the club, patience for a new manager learning his trade and support for a team struggling to find form and confidence? Fair enough that's just mad talk and never going to happen.

Fair enough that's just mad talk and never going to happen. I do appreciate it but it doesn’t mean it’s been done well. The last 4 years have been a disaster. Nor should we have a manager “learning his trade” here. Since when was it a good idea to be someone’s experiment. You just happy clap your way to League One. Then believe the empty promises that come round season ticket renewal time. Well done you. Supporter of the year.

"That is hugely important to us and to the team. It’s during bad times that you need your supporters more than ever to get behind the players, the management and everyone at the club."
Unfortunately Pete, when you're constantly battered over the head with dire performances, repeated stories of the lax attitudes of players and staff, no end in sight- roll all that up into 3 whole years- it starts to add up.
You cant defend the indefensible Mistake, coincidence, pattern.

This reminds me of the “what’s all the fuss about” comment. We all know what happened after that. The loyalty the Coates family show is admirable , however, with his record and the utter dross he’s producing Jones would be toast at most clubs by now!

Won promotion from two divisions for Luton, Has been in football since 1990. He defo knows football. You’ve missed his point. But going on to Jones, he has shown nothing in the here and now to suggest he understands anything about football management. Exactly the problem. It's as if he has completely unlearned everything he ever did and knew at Luton.
What he annoys me is that his Luton team in the diamond had pace and power. Pacy LB and RB, mobile strikers. He knew what the requirements were for the system, which begs the questions of
Why would you then go and shoehorn McClean into LB?
Sign Jordan Cousins for the DM Role (I'd argue I'd have preferred Pelly Ruddock in this instance if were signing anyone, push to come shove, but Besic would have been first choice).
Lee Gregory, Sam Vokes? I like Greggers but they're both not exactly mobile. Fair enough if Campbell plays off of one of them in the league but he isn't.
Relying on Powell to be the only AM we have who is a walking sick note regardless of what a good player he is, the only other one we had is now in the MLS.
We now have Batth, Collins, Bruno, Lindsay and CCV as our CB's. Play Collins and either Bruno or CCV for me. Batth is fucking awful this season.
If he's here at January assuming we've picked up our game, he needs to sign a LB and a DM, and attempt to sell Allen if possible, invest back in to a young, pacy hungry centre midfielder. Assess the Butland situation whilst we're at it if he still makes silly mistakes as well.

Some appreciation for the personal millions ploughed into the club, patience for a new manager learning his trade and support for a team struggling to find form and confidence? Fair enough that's just mad talk and never going to happen. Really dont think anyones unappreciative of what the Coates family have done as a whole. But neither do people forget how bad things got under Mr Coates in the period before our rise to the Premier League, nor what's been happening over the past 4 seasons. You've got to live in the moment and right now alots gone wrong at Stoke City & people are naturally venting their feelings as their entitled to do as we cant see things improving. We got told after our relegation that mistakes had been made and lessons would be learnt! Really.. have they been learnt?! Let's not forget as fans we also contribute funds into our club aswell, yes on a far smaller scale than Coates does but we do pay into it so opinions are entitled to be expressed from the paying public as to what their getting back in return. Woolworths were a major high street retailer once, & most people who remember it used to love a pop in there as they used to stock almost everything, didnt mean they could live on what they'd done in the past and carry on as they were though did it? They didnt move with the times & things went downhill rapidly & that's what people can see happening at Stoke right now! Im all for giving a manager time but as for Jones being 'a new manager and learning his trade'!! Hes the one who keeps making promises he hasnt delivered on so is constantly setting himself up for a fall, time and time again. How do you expect people not to react to this when things are as bad as they currently are? After 9 months of hearing the plans and what Jones has done at his previous club it's well overdue the time he needs to be putting what he preaches into action! It's easy to talk the talk, and actions speak far louder than words. After 9x months here I dont consider him to be new here anymore either, if there were shoots or glimmers of improvement yes the criticism of him could be deemed unfair but right now we're worse than we were this time last season and he's the man in charge right now!
