I'll be having a few quid on Kosovo to beat us at their place I reckon. Especially if we turn up with this attitude. Sterling has been exceptional, Sancho positive and the rest playing like its a knock about down the park. We are not ruthless enough and we should have scored 10 tonight. If you want to win tournaments you have to have that ruthlessness. I think Sancho would have had even more impact but Alexander Arnold's poor game tonight did him no favours. He (AA) looked a shadow of the player he is for Liverpool.

It's the other 2 who are the bigger problem. He is a bit shit, though. He's an athlete more than a footballer. He needs to be the middle man in a 3, he'd be fine there.

Ive said it a thousand times, I HATE the England band. Seriously can we start a petition to ban the awful racket? 1001, now. I agree, though.

Can Kosovo get Scotland in the play off? I hope so, they'll rip the miserable Jocks apart. I really hope they go through (with us). They have so much fight and they're actually really good to watch going forwards and don't piss about with the ball. It's what the Euros are all about.

I'm generally a fan of Barkley but tonight he's been abysmal. Never been a fan, had potential but doesn't seem any better now than he did when he first came on the scene. He's JonJo Shelvey with hair!

Should be another comfortable win I'm goin for 4 nil this time. Nil? Wasn't expecting that Kosovo move the ball quite nicely at times

Agree. it's a great competition but he finals increasing from 16 to 24 teams diluted the quality a bit.

Poor performance in the 2nd half and 3 individual errors have cost us 3 goals.
That said, Kosovo were really impressive. A team greater than the sum of it's individual parts. If you were a nation in the class just below the likes of England, you really, really wouldn't want to play against them.
Quick, decisive, attacking football. Wouldn't mind Stoke playing like that.

He plays with the Kosovo flag on his boot doesn't he?

Still don't understand why Henderson is still being picked. All he does is break up the momentum by passing backwards and hoof his 'crosses'.

Why was it played at Southampton? Is something going on at Wembley or are they looking to have a few games around the country again? I'm not complaining I think it's great to have England games in different places, but if they're going down that route think they should prioritise heading north rather than making it even further south.

Lestah have properly mugged off The Shit there. Slabhead is gash. And would Keane be playing for England if he was at Watford or Brighton? Dunk is twice the player Keane is. In fact Lindsey looks better.

He's JonJo Shelvey with hair! I like JonJo Shelvey, his 1st instinct is to make a forward pass. Barkley's first instinct is to run with the ball. Both good players but flawed perhaps I know everyone is keen for Madison to play - & why not - but for me the outstanding international midfielder is Foden. Henderson or Rice but not both and possibly neither, Winks could play in front of the back four.

Think they both declined out of respect to Switzerland if I remember correctly. He also celebrated(celebrates?) by doing the Albanian Eagle symbol which is from the Albanian flag 🇦🇱. Shaqs parents are Albanian Kosovans I think.

Whichever front three we put out is capable of causing problems to any team, but beyond that you have to say we are very average. The central defenders all think they're Bobby Moore, but perform like Bobby Ball and that midfield last night was hopeless. There's no sign of any player of the quality of Silva, De Bruyne, Pirlo, Kross etc, coming to the fore. Foden is a very good shout and I like the look of Maddison, but Foden's only played 10 minutes of Premier League football this season for Man City. I'm not sure if he's been injured, but he did play for the Under 21's the other night.

I caused outrage when I said Chilwell was meh.
About 3/4 games down the line and he’s still very meh. What does he do?

I think your argument was mixed up in the James Justin thread, but well done you. Danny Rose isn't much better though, so rather than revel in being proved right, suggest where England might improve.
How Keane gets into an England side staggers me, and John Stones looks better but makes mistakes. Gomez looks the best bet really and I like the look of Tyrone Mings...he's a left footer, quick and skilful, but Villa still bedding in I guess. Foden should come to the fore but not until next season. However, once he's in, you'd expect him to be in for years. Rice could well revert back to centre back in due course which might help, but currently, our midfield is shambolic.

I don't understand Henderson and Rice in the same team as Rice plays the holding role and Henderson looks like a spare part further forward. We may need two holding midfielders against better opposition but against these group teams not really! The number 10, Barkley, often turned back instead of 'running with the ball' with a dynamic front three ahead of him! Saying that and the fact there were two holding midfielders didn't give any protection anyway!
