Any other fans of the singer, songwriter and composer known as the 'Piano Man'?
He seems to be out of fashion right now but he has an extraordinary back catalogue of simply some of the best songs ever written.
I love this, his vocal range is just unbelievable and I need to master that finger clicking thing!

Don't do that....i thought you were going to say he died.
I like quite a few of his songs. 'She's got a way' always brings a tear to my eye.

There’s a clip on you tube where a guy out of the audience goes on stage with Billy and plays piano on ( I think ) New York State of Mind. Well worth a watch for the guys playing skills and Billy’s respect for him.

And of course this
She can kill with a smile, she can wound with her eyes She can ruin your faith with her casual lies

His latest project is a self help group for people wrongly accused of arson.

Not a big fan of Billy, but have to admit piano man is one of the greatest songs that's not been written by a beatle or a stone.

He’s a musical legend in my opinion. In 1986 I was on HMS Avenger we had to pull into Norfolk Virginia to do some storm damage repairs after a very rough Atlantic crossing. Us engineers spent almost a week working round the clock getting us ready. We made many friends in the naval base but cutting a long story shorter Billy Joel was appearing somewhere in Norfolk and got wind somehow of Avenger. He turned up for an afternoon gig on our flight deck. He played for about an hour, his reasoning was that many of us onboard were unable to get out and see the sights of Virginia and our reason for being stateside was to conduct anti drug smuggling operations from Columbia to Florida Keys which he supported. Never seen him since as he rarely if ever does UK tours except Manchester and London occasionally.

My two favourites of his are Leningrad and Vienna. But as you say his back catalogue is incredible.

My two favourites of his are Leningrad and Vienna. But as you say his back catalogue is incredible. Vienna is one of my favourites too. I tend to go for the up beat songs like All for leyna, Don't ask me why, We didn't start the fire, movin out, my life and many already mentioned. I find his music really relaxing and can change my mood in minutes. I just like the piano playing, out of all the instruments the piano seems to be the one that draws my attention.

I like a lot of his songs - some really good music.
One of my favourites (not sure which one is tbh) but I've always thought "We didn't start the fire" has really good use of historical events in the lyrics.

Not a massive fan, but really liked his live album, Songs in the Attic, especially Streetlife Seranader, which is much better than the record version.

Not a fan really. However, went to see him (with family) in Manchester last year, he was excellent. Many songs you’d know but may have forgotten about. Also covered I am the Walrus and Your Song. Quality performer worth seeing.

A bottle of red A bottle of white
And that’s just what he has before driving home usually.
