Owen is a twat, and a boring twat at that.
The bloke doesn’t give a shit, if he really cared he wouldn’t have signed for Man Utd being a Liverpool “legend”.

I suspect that'll be a short chapter, he's said most about his time at Stoke in the press really. He still reckons the training regime at Stoke killed his career early. Though he'd had fitness problems previous anyway so I'm not surprised he couldn't keep up with it.

To be fair, in "owning" stakes, he's pretty much nailed Shearer here. Lock, stock and barrel.

Plenty of footballers have crossed the divide of club rivalry so the 'you cant play for ManUre if you played for Liverpool' thing is pure bollocks. To 99% of footballers its just a job. Does anyone begrudge Dicko ending up at the Vale? Who cares?
As for Owen, he is trying to sell a book. The stuff he says about Newcastle is true although he was clearly struggling to come to terms with the fact that his time in the elite was at an end and his career was on the wane.
Would love to see his and Shearer's paths cross on live TV...

Shearer was a mardarse. He got two Newcastle managers sacked. As soon as he got left on the bench they were finished. Also, it's widely alleged there was a huge argument in the dressing room after an England game, after which, Hoddle never managed another competitive England game.
When it came to internal politicking Shearer made Stalin look tame.

I think he confronts Owen, expresses his disappointment in Michael's response to him, then calls him an ambulance after administering a leading elbow followed by a damn good thrashing

Shearer a great goal scorer no doubt, but ay respect I had for him disappeared when Newcastle were playing Stevenage in the 1990s and Shearer was tackled by a non league player (I mean how dare a non league player tackle the mighty England player that is Shearer) so what does Shearer do starts to punch the Stevenage player. One was a part time footballer on 50 quid a game the other at the time an England International on 20 Grand a game. There I thought you wanker, be man enough to walk away be the bigger man, but no

You have to come back to learn and face some of the things you have done, good and bad. There are too many injustices around. You and I have been physically given two hands and two legs and half-decent brains. Some people have not been born like that for a reason. The karma is working from another lifetime. I have nothing to hide about that. It is not only people with disabilities. What you sow, you have to reap. Youu have to look at things that happened in your life and ask why. It comes around. I can still believe Shearer is a massive self obsessed twat mind.

It was widely suggested too Shearer had contacted David Davies to advise him to let Hoddle go. Hoddle had to resign for his ill advised comments BUT his captain didn't help him at all.

I can still believe Shearer is a massive self obsessed twat mind. It's context though. If he'd said that after leading to the World Cup does he still get sacked, in 1999, for saying that? I'm not sure he does. He said it at a time when the knives were out for him because he'd made the grotesquely stupid decision to publish his World Cup diaries, pissing off half his squad and most of the press pack in the process, and then subsequently made a pretty bad start to qualifying for the Euros. It was an awful thing he said that he should probably have been sacked for, but in reality it was merely the excuse, the Franz Ferdinand moment that gave people what they were looking for.

It's a tough one to offer support on really no matter how great a coach he might have been, how do you go out and say something to support someone who thinks and says being disabled is karma for a previous life, in 2019 I doubt he would survive that nevermind 20 years ago

I know Newcastle fans might not particularly be endeared by this - but I absolutely love it... because he's telling the truth. It's refreshing. Player sign for clubs that they probably didn't particularly want to all the time, due to money, lack of other options, family being settled in a particular area etc. so at least he's not bullshitting. I don't particularly think it's aimed as a dig at the club itself either, so I see no problem with it.
He also says Newcastle fans are amongst the more delusional out there which, let's be honest, couldn't be more true.

Its entirely consistent with Hinduism and other belief systems too.
