There is zero chance Jones will be in charge for the next game. Zero How can you be so certain?

"We’re doing a lot right but we can also do a lot better" Absolute bollocks Nathan That quote is just unbelievable. What are we doing right exactly?....We are rock bottom and he thinks we can do better....is that supposed to be a crumb of comfort! I know Jesus said 'love your enemies' but that doesn't mean you have to gift them a minimum of 2 goals a game. We are the most Christian spirited team in the Division I'll give him that much.

Seems to think passing the ball around your own half 5000 times and aimless chasing after people without putting in a tackle is doing well?

I reckon he's got the best Team penalty success/miss ratio stat of any Stoke manager ever. Summat to hang on to.

Balls on the chopping block there fishy. Hopefully you're right, so guessing you've heard something or other then. I do seem to remember you mentioning Hughes being given the chop and not being too happy about it. Week later, he was gone.

I seem to remember Hughes getting the bullet on the evening that we lost to Coventry in the cup. He must have suspected that should the match be lost, he would go. I don't think that he knew the week before.
I'm calling bullshit.

He's not got the dreaded vote of confidence yet, so does that mean the Coates are formulating what to say tomorrow in support of him or are they getting ready to drop the axe in the morning? Time will tell.

He's gone as soon as they sort out the new manager No other Stoke manager has been sacked only 6 games into a season. If they've made their decision why would they wait until they've sorted out a new manager before sacking him, they've not done that when they've fired managers before.

Jones is in a literally no win situation. He knew which players wanted to leave. So he recruited. Not everyone left which gives us now too many players to keep happy. So he keeps changing the starting eleven to please everyone. By giving all playing time. Best balance maybe to put two starting eleven teams together and have the same bench players each week. Anyone. Who doesn't wish to play for us uses the gym until January. Two starting eleven teams will want to be better than the other team which can only generate some wins for us. Victoria he signed 11 players. It was entirely his own fault he’s not too many players.

Victoria he signed 11 players. It was entirely his own fault he’s not too many players. Too many players to keep happy. Every player wants to play. Jones had to get a cheap team together ( FFP) plus loan debt ready for the new season. Based on who leaving.Trouble erupted Butland not left. Davies thought he was number one etc. Jones knows his football. He trying to give everyone game time. Then some supporters think he doesn't know his best eleven. He doesn’t know his best 11. Who was he expecting to go that hasn’t gone? Bruno and Butland? Doesn’t explain the need for 11 players! None of whom were any better than what we had. He’s made a complete hash of it.

This insistence on two senior players for every position would always lead to disharmony especially with all of the chopping and changing. Then somehow he ended up with three plus Verlinden competing for the 10 role. Madness in my opinion. He's been his own worst enemy.

All I've heard is that an emergency meeting has been arranged for 11am today. Jones has not been invited at 11am but has been invited at the end of the meeting.

Heard this too, and he is being relieved of his duties this morning. I cannot say that he's 100% gone today but his position is in real jeopardy. This is why he's not been invited initially. Replacements are 100% on the radar.

That's negligent......

That's negligent...... 11a.m. aside, (albeit there must be a meeting sometime very soon) as there is now a long list in the 'sack him' column but these two must be in the top 3 or 4.
His only possible defence can be that there were significant extenuating factors (as noted, failure to get named targets by the pizza boys for e.g.) and that the decision maker(s) are aware of & agree with those.
Still doesn't leave an obvious & clear route out of this horlicks.
I imagine that Nathan's plan is what the top floor are desperate to hear and will judge accordingly and dependant upon who they have sounded out.
