If he does get the sack before the season ends then we'll not see any changes for the good.
Who on Earth can change the culture of the club from top to bottom.
Remove Scholes and Coates from day to day running of the club and replace them with leaders of their respective positions and we're half way there.

I take it you have never met mrs coates snr then?..... she has absolutely zero interest in football...... she wouldnt know one end of the pitch from the other.... this is all our chairmans passion and project. As much as his managerial appointments have been disastrous..... we are very lucky to have a local man.. whos a supporter owning the club.... we have to have faith he will see the demise were in. And act accordingly. Mrs Coates seldom misses a game so I’d argue as a minimum the lady is aware of the ends of the pitch Theres a reason she attends. And its not my place to speculate as to the reason..... go and sit near to them for a game and watch for yourself

I’d say we’ll hear something tomorrow, the real problem is the owners ability to see the problem they alone have created. I can imagine Mrs Coates giving Peter a right ear bashing for even contemplating that their son is remotely responsible. On another note can’t wait for the sequel from Jon on how they sourced NJ’s replacement, I’m going for a sentinel ad advert response I take it you have never met mrs coates snr then?..... she has absolutely zero interest in football...... she wouldnt know one end of the pitch from the other.... this is all our chairmans passion and project. Ultimately the issue still boils down to terrible recruitment it has for 4 years and it does now , it’s been garbage all along to suggest it’s a good squad , it’s terrible and now it’s even shorter on goals than it was , afoebe for hogan is another truly terrible terrible piece of business from QSF to lambert , from Gayle to hogan are very telling at either ends of the timeline of spiralling decline , it’s there that common denominators appear .

The main concern has to be the very obvious possibility of relegation. I know it was meant to be a longer term project but this was never on the agenda and is insignificant compared to what’s at stake. As a club we simply cannot afford to be relegated, surely it would destroy us? We still have lots of players on huge contracts, that we are struggling to afford in the Championship, let alone in L1.
If we had spent less and were not setting promotion as our aim, I could see some value in keeping Jones and allowing him to do what he needs to do but carrying on like this and hurtling towards relegation is going to kill us.
For that reason alone, albeit amongst many others, he has to go and a ‘safe’ appointment made. I know there’s no guarantee with anybody, especially with what’s happening at the club above the manager but I refuse to believe this squad is being managed properly. It can’t go down. It can’t be allowed to happen.

The ditherers will dither untill it's far too late to save us from relegation.

It's dead simple nathan. When you came, every stoke fan would have told you there is a big hole in midfield, sign someone to sit in it and get in people's way, and feed the ball to player between the lines. Oh, and a left back. You wouldn't have all these fucking problems if you'd just addressed the obvious glaring issues that anyone could see. A decent manager will come in here and take us in the right direction straight away. With our fuck up midfield the only way to go is to have two playing in a cage in front of the back four, and chuck any idealised style of play out the window, play direct and look to grind out wins. 4-2-3-1

It's become so stacked with fuck ups now that it can't be anything other than by design. Nigel Johnson: "Yet again Stoke City have become the architects of their own disaster." On the Charlie Adam sending off I think, but could have been on one of innumerable occasions over the last 3/4/5 years. It saddens and infuriates me. I thought the Championship could have been a refreshing change. It's not, but we're miles off any thought of going back up, even though there's no fun in this league. Facing dross and week in week out our team accepting that level. Giving up too soon, trying when it's too late... etc etc. If it isn't absolute incompetence and there is a grand design then I'd rather not watch it narrated by the patronising platitudes of NJ thanks. I'm hoping they're giving him a day of rest today, cards tomorrow. Butland/Davies, Collins, Edwards, Woods, {Sorenson}, Powell, Verlinden, Ince {with a rocket}, Campbell as tha basis with older heads in support to move forward. There should be enough quality and experience amongst Baath, Clucas, Allen, Gregory, Duffy etc etc to compliment them, coach them, compensate for their learning and such, not making the mistakes, being the problem. I dunno... Burn a whicker man at Jammy's Pool, invoke Thoth or summat..

I just think they don't know what to do? We can't afford (wouldn't want to pay) for a bigger name - and why would they want to come now anyway? The only real option is another punt on a NJ type 'promising' young lower league manager and which one would have the balls to take on this mess?

Bout as streamlined as the fucking Hindenburg sorry Nathan but don’t talk about a bloated squad. Pick you best 11 and play them week in , week out until somebody gets an injury. Stop the random 11 names from a hat and pick a system every week. We need consistency in the team , and you showing belief in your signings.

There is absolutely no justifiable reason for not getting rid now...it's not as if we are playing well and not getting the rub of the green in games. The board giving him another month would be just like the Mills situation in 89...any new man coming in would be under tremendous pressure to hit the ground running. It could be too late What if they cannot find a replacement? Perhaps they have already approached a couple of people and been declined. There is no obvious caretaker waiting in the wings is there. Is there?

He should already be gone and Stoke City should already have begun the process of appointing a safe, experienced pair of hands to steer us to safety.
But this is Stoke City and I’ve lost confidence in the people that run this club sadly.
Decisive, forward thinking, strategic planning is something we don’t have at this club. Sad state of affairs.

As someone who thinks we should stick with jones, you can just tell the board have nothing planned in case it goes tits up, remember reading something about swansea that they always had a shortlist of managers who fit their philosophy/dna etc, theres none of that here, at least thats what it looks like
