That lad at Ipswich appears to be doing a good job! Indeed. I've said it many times but Lambert would have done a respectable job in this league, he knew what was needed last summer and I think he'd have got us a top 8 finish. I could have understood the board sacking him for a good, top drawer manager but to sack him and bring in Rowett and give him 50m was just lunacy.

Before Hughes was sacked, he kind of knew it - storming out of the NU press conference and distancing himself from the team.
Am not hearing that from Jones at the moment. Just silence from above. If it comes, I don't think he realises its coming. But equally, he has run out of ideas and plans - just attributing things to mistakes and errors. Its far far deeper than that.

He's no Guardiola... But the headline achievements of his career are very decent, aren't they? Championship and 100 points with Newcastle. Sacked half way through the following season with them in 12th in the Premier League 4th in the Championship with Birmingham the next season Then an 11th place in the Prem with Norwich - and kept them up again the following season. And then 3rd place - followed by runners-up and 90-odd points with Brighton - then 2 seasons of Premier survival. I know things ended badly there, they spent a lot (not always on player he wanted) and his football got roundly criticised. But is there anyone better out there? www.transfermarkt.co.uk/chris-hughton/leistungsdatenLigenNational/trainer/2654Impressive stats aren't they. I'm guessing the people who don't want him haven't looked at those stats. But how many crisis clubs has he rescued? Its horses for courses.

After such a poor points return so far can they really give him another say month?. The four games coming up are tough and if we get an equally poor return in them we could be in some serious trouble.

There is absolutely no justifiable reason for not getting rid now...it's not as if we are playing well and not getting the rub of the green in games.
The board giving him another month would be just like the Mills situation in 89...any new man coming in would be under tremendous pressure to hit the ground running. It could be too late

If he isn’t sacked tomorrow I’ll be gobsmacked , and I’ll give up on the club I’ve supported for 52 years , I’ve seen highs and so many lows , none have bothered me until this year , enough is enough

I’d say we’ll hear something tomorrow, the real problem is the owners ability to see the problem they alone have created. I can imagine Mrs Coates giving Peter a right ear bashing for even contemplating that their son is remotely responsible. On another note can’t wait for the sequel from Jon on how they sourced NJ’s replacement, I’m going for a sentinel ad advert response I take it you have never met mrs coates snr then?..... she has absolutely zero interest in football...... she wouldnt know one end of the pitch from the other.... this is all our chairmans passion and project. As much as his managerial appointments have been disastrous..... we are very lucky to have a local man.. whos a supporter owning the club.... we have to have faith he will see the demise were in. And act accordingly.

I think they will tell him he needs to win the next 2 games. I don't think he will and that's when the axe will fall. Hopefully by that time the board will have done their homework and have a replacement ready.

I genuinely don't think that he's going to be sacked, based on the way that the last few managers have left the club.
Rowett was a dead man walking for weeks and it was made very clear in the local press that the club were preparing the ground for a replacement.
Once we were relegated, The Sentinel started to report that Lambert had a 'sack in case of relegation' clause in his contract.
As with Rowett, it was an open secret that Hughes was about to be shown the door when we lost to Newcastle.
When the final whistle blew at St Mary's for our final game of the 2012/13 season, Matt Sandoz confidently announced that it was Pulis' last game in charge.
There don't seem to be any whispers, but there are a lot of people whipping themselves up into a frenzy, giving the impression that a change is imminent.
