Second so not the majority. There is no appetite for his return anywhere other than the tiny minds of zealots who can't get out of the 80's. Second in the poll. More than any other option on the list. I know you don’t like it and it must be hard and it will probably never happen but to continue saying everyone who does think he could do the job that needs to be done now even if they wouldn’t have wished for it is a backwards zealot is a bit unfair. I've never said he couldn't do the job. I just don't want him here. Vile bloke.

Doesn’t matter who it is, will not belong before he’ll be called out for the sack, it’s become like a X Factor game. Unless the next manager does well, unlikely given the current culture and crop of heartless players, this will just go on for a while, I fear.
Jones not looking like the answer though, sadly.

It's all a bit depressing really, isn't it? We talk big about wanting an exciting manager who plays attacking football, but when it doesn't yield results we all clamour for the comfort blanket of SuperTone and a bloke who isn't as good as SuperTone.

When we are facing a relegation dog fight and a disorganised mess of a team we start to be pragmatic. It’s not a comfort blanket. It’s who is equipped to steady the ship and do the job that now needs to be done. It’s not 2016 anymore.

Yes by the end it was shit under TP and he was correctly relieved of his duties at the right time, he’d established us as a premiership side but was unwilling to look abroad for new signings, he had to go, we’re in a different world now though, I don’t particularly want him back but I wouldn’t be too disappointed if he did rock back up, he’d make us competitive and in all likelihood have us sniffing around the top 6 soon enough with a bit of backing.
I’d like us to exhaust other avenues first but I won’t be complaining if It’s TP.

Pulis managed us as an underdog/newly promoted side. We might be shit now, but unlike before we're punching BELOW our weight.

Moyes still sees himself as a premiership manager otherwise he probably would have taken the job the last two times it was available, we’re far less attractive now.
I don’t think allardyce can hope for a premiership club now, can he ? Can’t see any wanting him unless they were desperate.
Hughton likewise might also see himself as a premiership manager still ?

Given that players have confirmed there was little defensive training perhaps not the best plan!

We don't have an exciting manager who plays attacking football though, we do have a manager who promised it but he turned out to be a charlatan, he is out of his depth and drowning in shit of his own making, yield results are you taking the piss

Given that players have confirmed there was little defensive training perhaps not the best plan! Just tell him he has nothing to spend and he has to get a tune out of the squad he has. Remember those early games when he took over TP's squad and had them playing on the ground, with confidence and in style It's worth a go, I think!

I can actually see it happening, Coates doesn't have a great deal to lose by standing by jones for another 5 league games as long as TP is willing to step in if he can't turn it around ( I still hope he does but it's starting to look less likely by the game, sadly). TP will keep the club up and if he steps in when it's looking grim there wont be many complaining. Another plus for TP is he knows the market which would appeal to Coates after a disastrous few years with lots of money pissed up the wall. Question is maybe more of wether 'TP' would want to come back to stoke

Slightly different starting points given we are totally shite, spineless and disorganised. You could probably ask the old TP lot to come back and play and even at their age now they would be a better place to start from 😂
