Monk dragged Brum out of a rut. Mind you, so did Rowett Cross him off, then.

I think whoever they eventually go for will not be employed at another club. I can't see them wanting to fork out even more compensation to extricate a manager and his staff from their existing contracts. I think they'll only consider going for a "safe pair of hands" from the "experienced but unemployed" list, especially if Peter is making the decision.

If we loose these next couple matches, we are going need a experience manager, who's good at getting out of these situations . Grounding out results, keeping it tight. Cant believe I'm saying this but it's got be TP🙄. Desperate times mean desperate measures

Pretty shocked jones is still in the job. I genuinely thought he’d crossed the rubicon.

He also wasted about £50m at Boro. It’s no to Rowett v2.0 from me. I quite like the idea of Monk based on what he did at Brum last season, but Boro fans view him the same way as we view Rowett (big money spent, poor football etc.) It seems his successes are when he has had Clotet as his assistant.

Hull were in the absolute doldrums when Adkins went in there last season and he did a fine job getting them out of it.
That said he didn't do a lot at Sheff Utd
I guess certain clubs suit certain managers

Such a strange set of circumstances. I don't think I've ever known a more likeable Stoke City manager. His positivity and passion is infectious. I dont think I've ever wanted a manger to succeed more. Yet here we are, 3 wins in almost 30 games and his actions depict a rabbit caught in the headlights. Maybe we're about to go an unbelievable Moneyball-esque/Oakland A's winning streak, and storm up the league? Or maybe we'll show too much loyalty and end up right in the shit. The one thing I dont expect is an imminent sacking. Its a right weird one, right manager wrong time.

I really don't get the love in for Hughton. A lovely bloke by all accounts and he's had a pretty good career, but not sure he'd be strong enough.

Hughton went into Brighton on New Year's Eve 2014 with them having won 1 in 18 - and kept them up. And I'm sure he can bare his teeth when necessary? www.skysports.com/football/news/35536/11517337/chris-hughton-how-good-is-the-brighton-boss-and-whats-he-like-to-play-forSIDWELL SAYS: "He's got the tag of being the nicest man in football and you can see why. But he's got that cut-throat attitude a manager needs in him as well. We saw that come out a few times in the dressing room when I was playing. He's very cool, calm and collected, but he needs to bark, he barks, and when he needs to bite you will know about it."

Hughton looking like the runaway winner here, Moyes and fat Sam not far behind Tone (who surprises me at just how many votes he's actually received).

He'll need to really want the job if he was offered it as we can't bring someone in who's running it down until the golf course calls.

If it was Adkins, Monk or Jones, I'd stick rather than twist! I'm too lazy to vote, but share your sentiments. I loved the Pulis years and Ricardo made the football entertaining on his own. But agree, don't really get the clamour for his return. But then I don't get Hughton either. Another very defensive manager. Might as well give Nathan more time. If he gets it right, I think there is more to gain than the other candidates.

That's one off of the Stoke potentials then
Moyes Hughton Pulis Others like Neill, O'Neill, Jackett, Cowley etc... who might be in the 'potentially interested in' section.
Looks more likely to be a three horse race for us doesn't it with the initial three mentioned, with Hughton being the most likely of those three.
