I know he’s marmite and there’s a lot of ill feeling when we’ve come up against him since he left but I think the crowd would get behind TP. We’d have to. He might be the only option and, unfortunately, probably exactly what we need. What the fuck has happened to me? Why am I saying these things? I can tell you now the fans won't get behind him. When the club is in the shit the last thing you want is to bring back a guy for a third time who splits opinions massively. Also i have never seen fans from any other club crave the return of a guy for a third time who left when we playing some of the worst football in my lifetime. It's embarrassing. I don’t get the same impression from speaking to other fans. Fans who I never thought would want him back have said they’d accept it now and think he’d be the man to get us out of this rot. I totally get he’d split opinion but I think the majority would get behind him.

We could have literally appointed anyone before tonight’s game and I’m pretty sure we’d have beaten them they were so bad. Three potentially crucial points pissed away and more importantly a chance for a new manager to get off to a winning start. Dereliction of duty to let him take charge tonight.

Don't think it's been sorted but Jones had a major meltdown and needs a break. Far from sorted. Only one manager fully committed but most the board not in favour. One other considering (and probably considering longer after tonight) and before the game no other firm interest. Not even Pardew had been approached as of before the game. I've just asked if he's been sacked. No answer yet.

I will accept Pulis back if I never have to see Tom Ince ever again Pulis tried to sign him Ince would have to work a lot harder if Pulis was here, just the sort of manager he needs Not sure that either of them will take up the challenge

Don't think it's been sorted but Jones had a major meltdown and needs a break. It's one thing peddling your shit for attention but saying shit like this is uncalled for and pretty fucking low tbh! And don't try playing the "i told you so" card when he gets sacked. You hardly have to be Mystic Meg to work that out

There's no other manager than TP to get us out of this pickle..... if he wants it of course. So there is no other manager in world football who could fix this apart from TP? Who left leaving the club playing some of the worst football i've seen. The small mindedness is staggering with Stoke fans, some deserve the same level of failure as the board.

Just got back from the game.
That was one of the worst football matches I've ever seen live. Two incredibly poor teams who deserve to be where they are in the table. We just lost against a team who were more than happy to come away with a point, from one counter. NDiaye sticks the leg out and misses, they go through to the final third and score. Easy peasy.
Just looking at how bad we played there, I really do get the genuine feeling that Coates will have looked at that and be thinking to himself that it has to be Pulis to save it. He will definitely be thinking that now, if he wasn't already.
Right now guys, that showed me today that there is only one way Stoke City is heading and that is the league below. Today showed me we just aren't good enough. We look so bad that it is genuinely frightening.

It wasn’t any worse than anything we’ve witnessed over the last three years. It took us to the Premiership. It kept us in the Premiership. It took us to the FA Cup Final. I would be happy to be bored (even though I think a TP performance after the last 3 years would fill me with a sense of pride) if it meant staying up. Whilst there may be other managers who would want to come. The defence needs sorting as a priority. A spine needs to be reinjected into this club. These players need drilling and a good kick up the arse.

I don’t particularly want him back and under any other circumstances it’d be an absolute no but these aren’t normal circumstances. I don’t see why Hughton or Moyes would want the gig and God knows if TP even would but that’s where we are. It’s not about pretty football now. It does feel a bit ridiculous saying this after not even a quarter of the season but this rot needs stopping. I don’t delight in saying it and the football is dreadful but I’m struggling to think of anything else. You can give Pardew, Adkins, whoever, but they don’t do what TP does.

As much as I would have hated to say this before, it feels like it’s made for Tony Pulis to come back.
I have a sick feeling though that our board of clowns will make yet another major fuck up by ballsing up the managerial appointment up just one more time and doom us to the third tier(again)
Please God(wiling) not Alan bastarding Pardew
