Thought they were going to be a great team partnership after Derby Havent played together since? They played together at Preston We should go 2 up front whoever that maybe. Our midfield just isn’t good enough to support a lone striker

Apparently Hogan missed a very easy chance from two yards out for Ireland last night in a friendly. Was subbed off shortly afterwards

Gregory and Hogan. Tremendous show. Set in the 28th precinct in Philadelphia wasn't it?
Gregory was a no-nonsense gritty cop who drank too much, had a fondness for jazz, and a disastrous personal life, but always got results. He was always getting chewed out by his boss for bending the rules.
On the other hand, Hogan was a no-nonsense gritty cop who drank too much, had a fondness for jazz, and a disastrous personal life, but always got results. He was always getting chewed out by his boss for bending the rules.
They were in love, but it was unspoken.

Maybe their names will drop out of the "rotation tombolla" some time this season. We havent had Vokes and Mclean upfront yet though. Thats gonna be a classic to watch

Both average at best and the fact we’re relying on them is a sad indictment on Jones. We let a better striker go, probably two.

I like Gregory - lots of movement and harries the defence but I'm really not convinced by Hogan who just seems to expect things to drop on his plate rather than make things happen. Vokes hasn't done a lot this seaaon and Campbell looks far from the finished article but at the moment I'd probably go for Gregory and Campbell.

How many did Gregory score last season 13 ? He doesn't look like a 13 goal a season striker on the evidence so far. Hogan looks to be the more instinctive finisher.

Gregory seems ok but would struggle to score in a brothel. I wouldn't go that far. He isn't a natural goal scorer - he's one of those unselfish disruptive players who creates chances for those around him. Vokes and Campbell - who have their own limitations - are far more natural goalscorers and if played alongside a player like Gregory would be the ones who'd end up getting the goals and the plaudits. Gregory is a player's player rather than a fan's player. I don't think Hogan is either - he just seems to lurk hoping for the best.

The problem is the complete lack of any semblance of a pecking order
Butland Federici Edwards Smith McClean Ward (Clucas) Batth Collins Lindsay BMI CCV Woods Cousins (Badou) Etebo Allen Clucas Badou Powell Ince Duffy Gregory Hogan Vokes Campbell Diouf
It really could be absolutely anything, in any formation, on any given day, and all 20-odd will be pretty much expecting to play.
Today, for example, we can probably only really rule out Powell and Diouf.
