My favourite Stoke manager without doubt. Not Bill Asprey? Did you buy the fanzine?

Having watched all three vids, the most impressive thing to me is that Lou is a wonderful person. Like most supporters who were around at the time, his presence wormed its way into us in an amazingly good way. We adored the bloke and still do. I reckon that's because he has an inherent character that exudes many of the best traits of the most decent of human beings. I too wish we had him around now. OS. Yeah. If you could describe what a stoke city manager should be you'd only need 2 words. Lou Macari

The man exudes humanity, can't remember which paper I read an interview with him in regarding his work at the Macari centre, but the question was posed: "How long will you be doing this for?" "Until i'm no longer needed.." Rightly revered around Stoke.

We've taken stuff up to the Macari Centre up Regent Road in Hanley and spoke to some of the people there.
Wonderful to see someone like Lou helping the local community and people with nothing.
Given the tragedy he had with his own son, he will know that there are more important things in life than money and football.
Great bloke

A wonderful time indeed. Away games taking over towns and a team that we could be proud of - organised, excellent balance between skill and steel and, compared with what we have witnessed over the last 3 years, a team who all seemed to know their role. Yes it was lower divisions but that 2-1 win against the shit in the league cup showed we could compete at a higher level.
