Prefer it if it were a series to be honest.
Netflix movies tend be utter shite (mostly).
A spin off series similar to 'Better Call Saul' could have been nice.

As much as I loved re-watching Breaking Bad the past few months I'm not sure I really enjoyed El Camino all that much. I think it's about 4 years too late, it's nice to have some closure but it doesn't have the same I'm on the edge of my seat, what's Walt going to do next? feel..

I think the "4 years too late" is quite insightful. As I was watching it I couldn't quite get past the fact that, despite it meaning to be immediately following (and sometimes preceding) the events of the final BB episode, a lot of the characters had clearly aged. The most stark example of this was Todd who has basically doubled in size and gone from boyish to middle-aged man in the last decade and apparently just cut out the bit in the middle completely.

It didn't have any real suspense to it and that's what made Breaking Bad great, you were always wondering how things were going to play out but the plot of El Camino is so by the numbers. It couldn't go anywhere else it's just visual confirmation of what we knew happened or would happen

I agree. A bit of a let down really. I’d read somewhere that if it wasn’t a Netflix film it would warrant an Oscar nomination. I don’t fucking think so.

Saw it last night - pretty good for a Netflix original film. A few twists and turns I didn't expect
Like most people I didn't expect much and was pleasantly surprised 4/5👍

I struggled with Breaking Bad giving up towards the end of the second series.
I think it was because I didn’t like any of the support acts to the central duo. So anything not involving Walter and Jesse in their various druggie escapades left me cold. I keep think8ng I should g9 back and give it another shot.
Anyway - confession over.
As to El Camino. It was very good. Well worth watching even if you haven’t been a fan of Ba Br.

I thoroughly enjoyed El Camino. It's all subjective isn't it?
