What was most shocking for me today was not getting battered I predicted it, but it was the complete lack of passion from the fans.
In 30 years of going down Stoke I've never seen such acceptance of such dross. He who is clueless claps the fans at the end and gets polite applause in return WTF?
20 years ago we were getting battered by Birmingham 0-8 in a performance very similar to today and there was a riot. The season after we got done by Reading and Bristol Rovers 1-4 in consecutive home games and a similar response followed.
Now I am NOT under any circumstances advocating pitch invasions or violence but polite applause for that?! I barely heard any booing. Have the premier league years completely emasculated the fan base?! Have people forgot they've paid getting on for £400 for a season ticket to witness that today?
And any talk of promotion was a con!! You don't buy a QPR reject, 2 Barnsley players, a 33 year old left back and a 33 year old play maker for next to nothing if you're aiming for promotion to the prem.

Jones got booed, but I was surprised that the players got a clap, for that shit really, they were shocking.

You have to be kidding me????
I'm thousands of miles away, I was watching keenly until the first goal, then I knew it was over. Stats don't lie in this instance, how my life feels wasted and exhausted this crap shoot. We he won from behind what, 3 times in the last 4 years or something absolutely stupid? It could be even less. Go figure.
Yes, you are missing many things.

Birmingham was 7 nil and the 'rioting' was more to do with the owners than the game itself

Jones got booed and the only players that did get applause were Collins and Ince. Collins who was on the only bright spark in that display and Ince who at least tried to attack and had 2 shots. Don't see any issue in that

Never walked out of a game so early in my life of watching Stoke since 1979. Never seen so many people leave a game so early either after their third goal on 66 minutes. You could see the disbelief on the faces of the ground staff and I even said to blondie behind the hem heath cricket club bar that I bet you've never been this busy this early before full time on a match day!
