It’s tough. You make errors and you have to learn from mistakes. That’s where Jones is now. Jones In! Give him until the relegation zone is 8 points ahead of us.
Then sack him.
Far too soon to get rid now.

He hasn't just been promoted though mate - he's the boss and he's been screwing up for 8 months? And can you see a group of players 'metaphorically willing to kill for Stoke City" cos I fucking can't?

Far too soon to get rid now. This isn't some back office job, it's a highly paid, high profile football management job. One of the reasons they're highly paid is the high level of responsibility and accountability that comes with the job. You're expected to get it right, or at least look like you're on the way to getting it right, quickly or else you're out of the door. The high pay is compensation for the high level of public scrutiny and low job security. Every football manager knows the deal when they sign the contract, if you don't get the results you get the sack pretty quickly. We're not only not getting results, we don't look anywhere near. We're not even remotely close to moving in the right direction and we're conceding at least 2 goals every single game. We're not even creating chances any more. I believe he's tried his best but he's clearly out of his depth. It's time to go and go now.

Not sure I follow are you suggesting we do nothing until we are 8 points adrift so 3 wins from safety? If I’m right in my interpretation then that’s madness if I’m wrong then apologies

Far too soon to get rid now. Mistakes are made but he's gone way beyond that. He's overseen a descent into the type of shambles I never thought I'd see at stoke again. I thought we would always be a stable club with the money behind us. I can't believe the signings he made in the summer. I can't believe how shit we are

I guess a lot of us have, and I guess like most of us it normally comes with a probation period. Well NJ is at the end of his probation period, we now have 3 choices:
Debrief him on his areas of weakness, set improvement targets and a review date and extend his probation. Regrettably it hasn’t worked out and let him go. Debrief him on his satisfactory performance and sign off the probation period.
Of course this is football and normal business practice doesn’t apply
