1.
I give him some balls for dropping Butland and Allen who rightly should have been left out from the start, but removing Woods and only leaving Etebo with the burden of Duffy (worthless) Clucas (anonymous) and Cousins isn't even worth mentioning really showed our gulf in class.
Etebo is our best midfielder by far but he can only do so much in that shower of shite. Leeds played through us in that formation with ease once the wall was breached.

3*
Too many changes, 3 young centre backs expected to deal with the league leaders, when we have Batth and BMI. Woods was man of the match last week, not even on the bench. Width on comes from the full backs going forward. And Gregory isolated up front
Needs to find his best side, and soon

Dreadful starting xi with too many changes for me also, needed a bit of experience at the back. One man up front at home is sad to see no matter who you are playing. Cousins for Woods, no thanks and I hope I never have to watch that lineup again. The keeper saved him from getting a 5-0 hammering. 1 for finding his seat in the dugout.

2 for dropping Butland and Allen.
But he panicked big time, changed far too much and got the same result. Basically a pilot who switched off the wrong engine.

6 for me, changed players who needed dropping. Leeds are a well organised team, played together for quite a while. Played ok until Leeds goal. Not enough creativity going forward, Ince on at half time. Is wood injured ? Or dropped completely

3* Made the right decisions to drop Butland and Allen, but spoiled it all by changing the formation and paying them too much respect.

Dont agree, I thought Collins was ok. I thought he doesn't look ready. Bayern says he was a class above and motm by a mile 😊 Truth is he's a young lad with a lot to learn, makes mistakes that he will learn from with experience. Given time I can see him maturing into a top player, he's nowhere near that at the moment but I'd still play him every week. He oozes confidence, the only one in the defence who does !

There was a stage in the second half where the camera stayed on Jones, Hart, Delap and 2 other gumps all huddled together. Absolutely none of them looked like they knew what they were doing. All the while, Jones is snacking on his fingernails. I know he’s always done it but his nervous complex does no one any favours.

5 - For having the courage to drop Butland and Allen; but there are clearly greater problems with this team. Why drop Woods who ran the show against Derby? Why break a promising forward pairing by dropping Hogan? Sorry Nathan, but the power of prayer is an illusion and certainly doesn’t work on this team.

Its the over confidence thats the problem, I'm happy to see him bringing the ball out from the back but to keep trying to take players on until you lose it is ridiculous, anyone else and people would be screaming for them to get the boot, I agree he has a lot to learn but I don't think we have the luxury of having him play every week to do it, not given the current position tbh.

I don't think any of the other centre halves are any better, Lindsay was supposed to be great at bringing the ball out and passing wasn't he ? He's just a hoofer.

I absolutely DETEST Dirty Liids. Losing against them is completely unacceptable. Added to that NJ was unable to get the team interested in getting something out of the match other than a defeat or a defeat without a whimper.

0* Even now, I'm still seathing!!! 😡
We played Leeds ffs (fair do's, a good championship side, but they're hardly fuckin Liverpool or Man City are they), yet we set ourselves up to CONTAIN them, and even did that shit in the end.... 3-0 could have so easily been 5-0!!!
It took us until the 70 something minute to actually have a proper attempt on goal, and that was from the sub (Ince)!!!
Same against Preston too.....took us until the 89th minute muster up a proper attempt (McClean)!!!

Clearly the diamond is a disaster...Arsenal played it with far better players than we have and were lucky not to get bettered by 5or 6...it needs to go . We are desperate for a proper no 10 and a defensive mid as well as proper fullbacks/wingbacks. You can't go on making the same mistakes and expecting a different out come. 2....

I'm giving him a generous 5.
He made good calls on dropped players but probably over did it, I don't understand dropping Ince, Woods and Hogan, unless it was to mask the culling of those who deserved it, Allen, Baath and Butland. He had the balls to move away from diamond but again this was over done, I don't get his thinking in making Gregory a loan striker, out of all our strikers available he's the least suited and the system and players chosen in midfield isolated him hopelessly.
He needs to find a way to fit Powell, Ince and Verlinden to support the striker, if he's not going to use Woods as the DM he's going to have to try someone new, like Collins.
Ideally 4231
Freddy/Butland
Edwards Baath Lindsey McLean Collins Etebo Ince Powell Verlinden Hogan

Who ever made the recommendation for Jones and for sure the decision maker needs to question their thoughts and take action as a matter of urgency, otherwise such performance will ensure League One next season. Not an over-reaction but simply observation based on the cold hard facts.

I simply can’t rate that shower of shit. That was fucking wank. If Leeds wanted to they could have made it another Birmingham scenario. Absolute load of crap. Fuck off I can't help but to agree with this. Yesterday's tragi-comedy was unrateable on any scale. And frankly it's now becoming a waste of time even passing comment on Jones. I can't be bothered any more. If he's the decent, honourable, Christian man many think he is then he will already know the game is up and resign rather than waiting to be fired. I wish he had stayed at Luton because he would be regarded today as a hero instead of a failure. On a purely personal level I do have some sympathy for him. Coming to Stoke City seems to be a death knell these days. A bit like rebuilding Berlin after the war.

Stupid team selection, gregory as a lone striker, cousins playing anyway, where was woods? (If he was injured ok but if not its stupid), subs coming when 2 and 3-0 down, some changes made sense like allen and butland but i do feel we would have done better if batth had played since that back 3 had no understanding at all. 2

Inept. What was he trying to achieve from the game. We went 1-0 and stared into the abyss and didn’t do anything apart from watch them pass it around us. No engagement toward the ball. Passive dross!
Created 0. How many tackles did we make?
There keeper had more touches than all our players.
We are an effing disgrace and are form since he joined us relegation no doubt about that!!
What concerns me is there has been no official word from the club, Coates or Scholes. It’s deafening.
