Is there a firefly infestation at Villa Park or something?
What's with the flickering lights on the pitch? Or have I drank too much Erdinger?

I thought Villaβs passing forward in the final third was very good. Caught Everton flat footed several times. I think theyβll stay up. Basic quiz stat, though, Villa v Everton is the most played football fixture in the world.

Great atmosphere, Villa giving 110% Was pretty good down there last night, but let's just see what it's like when it's freezing and we're 0-2 down, we've gained about 5k fans at the moment are they in it for the long haul? We shall see! UTV

Dean Smith looks very smart doesnβt he. Has he always been a suit man? Normally a full tracksuit man whenever Iβve seen him. On a side note Westly looks a right useful lump held the ball up brilliantly all night. And I was impressed with the right back, and Douglas Luis.

I would absolutely love Everton to get relegated. They toyed with it a few seasons ago, I think it may have even gone down to the last game or 2...

What staggers me with Everton is Silva bemoaning the lack of goals. He plays one up top, and that one is Calvert-Lewin .
No wonder they can't score, doesn't take Einstein to work it out .

I was impressed with Villa last night. When you look at the money being spent then Tyrone mings looks an absolute steel. Wesley looks like he is going be a huge hit as well. I think smith has done well. Heβs built a solid spine and will build off that.

A few seasons ago!!!! You mean 25 years ago in 1994π Back in the old "dogs of war" days Joe Royle started the dogs of war thing. Although he didn't coin the phrase himself. He took over a shambles and six months later beat the shit in the fa cup final. He got things changed immediately.

You mean 25 years ago in 1994π Didn't they flirt with relegation around the time they beat us 1-0 in the FA Cup at the Brit under Pulis? If it wasn't that season it was the season before or after. They escaped obviously, but they looked to be down at one point.
