This amazes me because I thought this would be his breakthrough year with us🙄 Such a shame. I'd love to have watched him get his chances here. Possibly the most exciting talent we have although all of Collins, Edwards, Campbell and Verlinden are exciting. Hopefully we aren't so shit they all go at the end of the season. I can't see the offers not coming.

I might be reading it differently but that's saying to me he's not going out on loan unless it's to a good team - therefore he's staying with us?

He wouldn't have come out with it for no reason you'd assume.

Christ, you lot born yesterday?
That quote was very similar to the 'We love N'Diaye and don't want to sell him'... Except we never play him and we clearly were trying to drive the price up.

NJ: Without giving too much away, we think Jarvis, Dunwoody, Sorensen need a league club to get experience and exposure to what it takes. Verlinden is right in between and I’m reluctant to let him go out on loan, but we have to look to his future and if something appealing comes in we will look at it.

A good offer in what sense - monetary or standard of club? And if it is the standard, why does it matter? If we want him and want to play him, why would it matter who wants to loan him?

He's fourth in line for the No.10 role, isn't he?
He's got to go on loan or waste a year

More contradiction from the manager.
Just play him instead of that pansy Ince.

He is the exact kind of player Jones is supposed to like, the fact he isn't getting a look in is madness considering we are not exactly looking good

Hard to see any value in him staying if he's behind Powell, Duffy and Ince and they're all going for the one role.

Get rid of the Diamond and go to a 4-4-2, then maybe WE could use him!!!

The Verlinden we saw against Reading last season is exactly what we need to see going forward. How he’d get him in the team is up to Jones but for me a possible loan is not what I want to see.I always remember Kris Conmons being introduced by Quitterall and that’s what should be happening with Verlinden imo

You do wonder how the likes of Ince get chance after chance, yet the likes of Verlinden and Campbell seemingly need to score a double hat-trick to even get a whiff of a run in the team. Verlinden needs to be in the squad tomorrow but I can't see him starting as he won't be match fit having barely featured.
It's just another in a long line of things to beat the manager with. We're promised fast football and the quickest we have can't even make the fucking squad.

Get him in the side, keep him in the side and get us playing. Over reliance on buying players for the sake of it is killing us. Duffy? Why the fuck was he brought? To be honest, Jones needs to go. Get him fucking gone.

But until we see any evidence he is, and that wingers aren't just some late throw of the dice option in certain games, it certainly looks like we've got a logjam of 4 players going for one starting role. And can't imagine any of them are going to be remotely happy about that as the season progresses (if it progresses beyond September with NJ in charge that is!)

Don't think there's much wrong with that. Jones isn't using a system that suits him. If he's not quite ready then a loan would certainly suit him. He's a good player. Definitely got a future. He's just turned 20. Shoehorning him into a side that doesn't suit him will stall his progression. Are we really going to considerably benefit from using him this season? No. Is he going to be negatively effected from going out on loan? No.
