Was travelling across country the other day and my Automatic Signal strength search picked up some local Radio station that was running a feature on Club and supporters recorded song tracks. These seemed to have been particularly popular in the 1970's and seem to especially have been produced for Clubs appearing in Cup finals. The programme featured offerings such as Chelsea's "Blue is the Colour", Englands' "World in Motion" and the Wurzels "One for Bristol City."
Stoke of course had their own 1972 League Cup song, the classic Tony Hatch creation "We'll be with You" which curiously didn't feature on this broadcast, although the Tottenham "Cockerel Chorus song "Nice one Cyril" was there.
All in all some awful stuff but interesting listening. Got me thinking anyway. Have we ever had a player at Stoke named Cyril?

Not a player but Sammy Chung's first name is actually Cyril.
