Given we have three games in quick succession presume we will make lots of changes for this one.
Three at the back? Etebo in seems obvious.

FFS barring bringing Etebo in we have to start naming a settled side, our Nath chops and changes way too much for my liking.

Going to be a tough game, they ended last season pretty well. Hopefully our squad depth shows over the next couple of weeks. I think 3 at the back is a possibility away this season, it seems Jones is considering it. Etebo should get a solid hour you would think.

Etebo in seems obvious. agreed, I like Joe Allen but it’s time to give him a breather in my opinion. I’d also bring in Duffy for Ince and Collins for Gregory going 3 at the back, for what it’s worth I’d play CCV too for Batth but that won’t happen, think it will be Butland Edwards McClean Collins Batth Lindsay Woods Etebo Clucas Duffy Hogan In a 3-5-1-1 formation with Woods at the base

I know what you mean, but surely just a couple of changes here and there is a better approach than the wholesale half a team changes Nath likes to make? Nobody can play themselves into form or build partnerships unless there’s a settled core?

We are going to need lots of fresh legs in all the high energy positions for Leeds.
Time to use the squad and get an away win to set us up Saturday. Edwards for Smith Etebo for Allen Duffy for Ince
Start with Gregory/Hogan and substitute if we are cruising on 60mins and go three at the back.

He seemed a tad angry in his interview about Allen miss
Maybe he’ll think it’s time give him a break?

Start with the same formation but 2 or 3 changes.
Etebo & Edwards i& Duffy in.
Maybe Campbell for Hogan purely for some rotation to keep players fresh

It's good we've now got 2 strikers that are a goal threat and you think we could now score in an attack

Start with the same formation but 2 or 3 changes. Etebo & Edwards i& Duffy in. Maybe Campbell for Hogan purely for some rotation to keep players fresh Hogan got a brace, linked well with Gregory and generally looked a big threat against Derby Would be mad not to start that pairing again

Don't you just love this message board. Most on here were slating Clucas last season but now he's starting for most on here. You couldn't make it up 😂

Good team Preston.
Similar to us in that they’ve had loads of chances.
Could be a high scoring game.

I can’t remember him being singled out for any abuse last season. The whole side we’re getting abuse which was totally understandable. He’s been better than Allen so far this season, that’s why most people would have him and Etebo as our midfield two. There isn’t really anyone else who can play there.

Hopefully Allen does the same in the next few games to do the same.

After the Derby game it's clear that team is slowly but surely, starting to click in to place. Preston is going to be a tricky game, but I think there is every chance we can win it.
I'd now go for
Butland
Edwards Collins Lindsay McClean
Woods
Etebo Clucas
Ince
Hogan Gregory
I'm still not yet entirely convinced with Smith so I'd put Edwards in, same with Batth which is why I'd give Collins a go there.
Allen was poor yesterday and that miss was atrocious. Sticking with the diamond, you've got to put Etebo in there. Bit more pace and energy, IMO balances the team a bit better. If you'd seen my other posts on team selection I move Clucas in LB and get Badou in, but Mac was decent yesterday and no sign of a Badou return.
Ince retains the CAM role, he offers lots going forward. He's pacy, has skill to offer, looks so threatening that it's difficult to envision our team without him in it. Sorry Nick, you'll need to earn your place again.
As for strikers, I'm liking this Hogan and Gregory partnership. They're working together like bread and butter, and the goal was class. Hogan looks like a real threat in front of goal. As for Gregory, big lad who can harass the opposition. Good ball retention, I like him.
We make silly little mistakes that we absolutely must iron out. But we are clicking and looking 10x better than the QPR match. Yesterday's match was actually lots of fun to watch. Defensively we still leave spaces which Derby exploited on the 2nd goal, but I have no doubt, get these problems sorted and we are going absolutely hammer someone. Maybe not Preston, but it will happen.

If Jones had switched Edwards for Smith and Etebo for Allen at half time, then I think we would have comfortably put the game to bed during the second half on Saturday.

I think we were always going to be more error prone without the subs early. I did genuinely think that Jones would have seen at half time that it would have been beneficial to take them off, sadly he didn't and we go on to draw.
There is definitely something coming together though, that's for certain. Still mighty impressed with Woods resurgence.
