I am hoping he doesn't make dumb ass substitutions that ultimately lost us the game. An inexperienced manager just has to learn from his mistakes and quickly.

If he's going with the diamond then it's got to be Clucas and Etebo in midfield.

Butland Edwards CCV Batth McClean Woods Etebo Clucas Ince Gregory Hogan Will do for me. Convinced Batth is our 4th best fit CB now tbh.

I would go with 3 at the back. Same 3 and try and keep another clean sheet and get some momentum. From today it doesn’t sound like it limited us in attack. Edwards and McClean as wingbacks (I know McClean has his limitations but his work rate sounded excellent today and Signal 2 did mention some good crosses). And get Gregory back up front.

What NJ will likely do:
Butland
Smith - Batth - Lindsay - McClean
Woods
Allen - Clucas
Ince
Hogan - Gregory
What I would probably go with:
Federici
Edwards - Collins - Lindsay - Ward
Woods
Etebo - Clucas
Ince
Hogan - Gregory

Despite my initial frustration at the result I thought we looked a lot better yesterday against similar level opposition to last week. The question is will NJ make loads of changes again for the visit of Derby. Unlike last week we were the better side for most of the game and with a bit of Luck we could and should have taken home 3 points. Hopefully Etebo will be back next week. But for the fact I don’t have much confidence in our backup keepers Jack would be gone. I think he’s going to continue with the diamond however I’m not sure it incorporates our best players to there strengths. I’d go with .......................Butland..................... Smith........Batth.......Lindsey...Ward ...............Etebo............Clucas........ .....Ince.............Powell............Duffy .........................Gregory.................. NJ will go with ........................Butland..................... Smith........Batth..Lindsey....McClean ..........................Allen........................ .............Etebo................Clucas......... .........................Powell....................... .............Hogan...............Gregory....... It would be a real shame to drop Collins after a big game (I can understand some reasoning for it if he does, not least fitness, but still). I would think it will be: Butland Smith Collins Lindsey Ward Woods Etebo Allen Ince Hogan Gregory I can also see him playing Batth instead of Collins, potentially (though much less likely) Clucas instead of Allen. A win here would mean so much to the team. Going into a real cluster of games where we need to utilise our biggest strength (depth), we need a winning mentality.

Almost impossible to guess this week. If he sticks with the 4-4-2 diamond, I wouldn't mind seeing:

Etebo has to start and ideally, 3 cb's also. Edwards in the team would be great also but that's not going to happen.

Hopefully he gives the Gregory/Hogan partnership another chance to develop. I would say that Ince, Woods and Lindsay all deserve another start as well, but who else and in what formation I don't know.
You would think that he would probably persevere with the diamond (442). Hopefully, Etebo is feeling up to a full 90 minutes (or at least 75).

Keep the same and if someone not performing sub them and if it then goes well keep the finishing 11 for the next game. Need to instil a mentality that if you play well you keep your place, if you play bad or be unfit you risk losing your place, when you get the chance you fight as hard as you can to keep it. Too many changes, we change every game. There us a case for bringing Etebo in following the extended break but it was Jones that cost us last weekend taking off Woods and with a bit of luck Hogan and Gregory would have been on the scoresheet nailing their place. Keep the same 11 and let the midfield know that Etebo is waiting for their place, as is Powell, Vokes/Campbell etc. Same applies to Jack Butland.

If we go a goal down, scenes could soon turn ugly and a team of their quality could run riot as heads drop. What quality? Look at the actual players in these sides. I looked at the leeds line up yesterday. Apart from Hernandez they have no top flight quality. Its a rubbish league. I hate our squad but in terms of individuals we have far more quality than most other squads. It should be top 6 at least. What we don't have is balance. We don't have pace, we don't have a sitting midfielder etc... Come on and say it, don't be shy: we have no creativity and we don't have a goal scoring striker. But I agree otherwise, we're definitely going to win vs Derby.

I'm not optimistic but a win would buck everyone up, and we need to be doing this virtually every home game or else we are not going to get very far!

Jones says he wants to keep him then keeps spouting on about what a good player he is. Shut your trap Jones.

Derby being Derby probably very much fancy their chances here so it really is ‘line in the sand’ time (again). Need to stop all the talk about formations and goodness knows what and just get on with the business of winning a bloody home game. It really should not be beyond the playing resources we have.

Derby’s weakness tomorrow if Max Lowe plays there is at right back with Jayden Bogle being injured.A left back playing at right back is something we must try to exploit especially when that player is very one(left) footed

Yep, we are past the point of chin stroking contemplation over performance quality, we need points on the board, lose this one and it will feel like another season over alnost before it's begun.
