What the fuck is everyone's problem? We're only 9 points off the playoffs The manager's position is about as tenable as an untenable thing, who's having an Untenable themed fancy dress party during freshers week at "The University of Untenable Things". He can't survive the weekend can he?

First half was dire. Second half we started with a bit more effort and got people supporting Gregory. Deserved the lead in my opinion. Then the dynamics changed and Brum took control. We did nothing. We didn't change it when it was clear we were getting overrun. This complete lack of tactical nous and awareness of what is going on in the game is constantly costing us. They get the lead but there was only one team winning that after it went 1-1. Lucky goal but we got nowhere near to them in the build up and passed around us for fun. Subs then came too late and hopeful long balls just don't cut it when you're not putting any quality passes into the box. I'm not going to say jones out but he needs to explain that showing. How could anyone explain that showing other than fucking shit and he's the man who oversaw it, seems he isn't too bright in fact uneducated in football is how he is looking.

Because of the recent tribulations at the club, many fans have given far longer to him to get it right than he ever merited. I guess that's understandable, given the pain of the reality we've brought yet another duff into the club, but surely even the most ardent supporter can't support this any longer.
The standard today was absolutely mindblowingly dire. I don't care if we won, lost or drew today - we were breathtakingly abject in both plan and execution. My jaw was on my chin at times.
The guy was always a long shot - never managed in the league, not had the experience of a big club, PL players, big budgets, a club in real problems, and a scoring problem. It would have defied probability if he had worked, but on none of the tests put before him has he even suggested for a moment he is up to it. Indeed, at every decision point, he has defied what would have been simple common sense with his choices of signing and systems. Can we finally conclude, there is no misunderstood genuis here- just an overprompted lower league coach who is haplessly out of his depth and splashing round like a drowning man. Its actually cruel to let it continue any longer. The demise in his reputation is being swiftly followed by his dignity.
Getting rid of Jones alone won't salvage the club's trajectory, but its the bare minimum action for Monday.

When I suggested this clown was replaced by a proper manager a few weeks ago, I was lambasted by tirades of abuse. Wonder when the defenders of the idiot incumbent will come to their senses and agree that Tony Pulis is the only man to get us out of this mess?? I'm not his biggest fan by any stretch but I think this squad really suits TP's style of play and think he would do well with it.

Yes I wanted to give him time but our performances are regressing. Today's team selection looked rubbish on paper and turned out so. Smith and Ward as his fullbacks are awful. Sorry Nath it's time to go. I think a lot wanted to give him time, but it is time, we know it, he must know it and hopefully the board know it.

Not sure we can really afford to sack him. What’s more who wants to take over the utter dross he’s bought? That said we either get rid or bring in Harford to babysit him.

Yeah, today’s the turning point really. It’s not just the results, which are abject, but everything else. I don’t really like the diamond as the formation, or 3 at the back, and we saw how 451/433 played out today (and it got Rowett sacked). We should be playing 4231 but he, like Rowett, had no interest in it.
Otherwise the insistence of Allen, the treatment of Verlinden/Campbell/Woods (and Bojan if you want to reopen those wounds), his reluctance to strengthen left back and DM and the recent attack on keyboard warriors kinda sums it all up really.
I like him as a person but I’ve not liked him in footballing terms since day one I don’t think. Not even like Rowett. No results bounce, no real performance improvements, just nothing.
I get it’s a long project and there’s no quick fix but I don’t have faith in Jones to fix it (or, selfishly, to play football and operate like I’d want Stoke to). So yeah, time to go I guess.

It will be a shock if he stays any longer. If there were signs of improvement I could understand but we seem to be going backwards if anything. Confidence is at rock bottom and i can't see where the next win/goal will come from.

I'm not sure what he's hoping to achieve anymore.
If he hasn't got the belief to try and win with the diamond that defines him - and can't even get results playing this sub-Rowett stuff, I don't know what he's doing here.

It's still August and the season is over. The board have to admit they've made another mistake and try to sort something out ie. a manager who knows what he's doing.

"performances" have been wank ever since his bizarrely aggressive post match interview after the Derby game, where we played relatively well. I'm convinced some of the players have dropped tools since then, not that we were much better before that btw. Totally think the players have thought ‘he talks bollocks’

That team selection, after Tuesday, was simply atrocious. He hasn’t got a clue had he! He has to go. Surely the worst record since Kamara? How can he be allowed to keep going. Batth and Lindasay awful partnership. Why play without a goal scorer? Vokes and Hogan score on week, dropped the next. Howe are these players ever gonna learn how to play together? How?! Awful management.

Reeks of every other relegation outfit I have watched over the 50 years I have supported the club. When we went 1-0 up I was timing how long we could last before we caved, once they realised how shite we were the 2nd goal was then a matter of time and then, unlike us, they just strangled the game and we never got near them once they got their noses in front.
Totally disorganised, no backbone, dreadful, dreadful players in defensive areas for the umpteenth year on the trot

Appoint someone who's been our most successful manager for 40 years? Let me think? Trouble is the idiots who run the club take too much notice of big gobs on here that who've made their minds up not to like him.

He's signed six defenders and a goalkeeper since has arrived and we have the worst defensive record in the division.
A squad like ours should not be in a Championship relegation scrap - another month of this and we most certainly will be and I could not see Jones getting us out of that in a month of Sundays.

Sorry, he has to go now, today. Give the club a chance to get a new manager in during the international break.
His record is indefensible now. Nice bloke, works hard, out of his depth and panicking. He needs to be put out of his, and our, misery.

What do you get if you stubbornly stick to a system that sucks and you make too many personnel changes every game? You get 1 point out of a possible 18, that’s what, and a bunch of disillusioned players and fans. Change must come.

There's a good manager in there and I'm devastated it hasn't worked out. Make no mistake, we are on a very quick path to League One. How certain people at the club survived for so long, and in some cases continue to survive, is beyond me.

I am not sure there’s anyway he can survive this now, rightly or wrongly.
Particularly reading this article from Spinks earlier in the week (https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-leeds-jones-job-3251015) in which he said - “They are desperate to reach the two-week international break after Saturday's trip to Birmingham so they can take a step back, take stock and assess things with a cool head.
They remain keen to keep Jones after investing so much time and resource into the Welshman, but are equally concerned about a league position, even after only five games, that no-one could have reasonably anticipated.”
My view, he fucked up badly today, not only playing wingers when he had played himself into a diamond shaped corner, but playing wingers like McClean whilst Verlinden rots with the 23’s. That single decision would have gave him huge favour with the fans I am sure, showing faith in a talented youngster over a shite footballer who’s a “good pro”. Allen over Badou or Woods. His team selection was appalling today.
Do I think he should go? I wouldn’t be upset to see him go, that’s for sure, but I won’t be happy about it either.

Wish he persisted with the diamond, looked like we were playing some decent football (yes we were conceding as well) but the current fare on offer is worse than the crap served up by Rowett. The consistent inconsistency is also baffling. 2 more games for me but he can’t complain if he’s out tonight 2 more games? That’s just 6 more points we won’t get.
