Pre-Match:
- Health and Safety report completely slams the food hygiene at the stadium. - Those using iOS app and have paid for the streaming service left behind due to 'maintenance' - Season tickets at turnstiles not working at all, resulting in mass queues with many fans missing the first half and more. - Those who paid for the game on StokeCity+ couldn't log in or if they could were greeted with 'Listen Live' instead of 'Watch Live' (Luckily, I wasn't affected by this.)
Mid-Match:
- Warm beer and whatever else if you dared brave it after reading the hygiene report. - Streaming service stopped dead at 90 minutes despite us having 5 minutes extra time only to resume 3-4 minutes into extra time when there was no point.
Post-Match:
It remains to be seen but I sense that it will be a slow response time in regards to refunds for the stream.

Our club is a fucking mess from top to bottom. We have billionaire ownership and for some strange reason they haven't got the first fucking clue what they're doing.

The problem is that they pay piss poor wages so they only attract supporters or those desperate for a job. They don’t attract people with the necessary skills, qualifications and experience and anyone worth their salt won’t go near them.
End result is we’re run by a bunch of amateurs overseen by probably the most overpaid charlatan in English football.

The smaller screen on the back of the big screen in the new corner has not been working for the last 4 home games either.
Certainly seems like there's a lack of accountability across several departments down at The Bet365.

Surely it's just someone with a bit of gumption and substance between their ears? How hard is it to pin that down in an interview? Food - don't act the clown and wash your hands before handling food. Don't cross contaminate raw and cooked food and don't wipe a cooked Burger down the front of your shirt. Oh and if an inspector is coming be on your best behaviour... Tickets - we've been poor on the field for the last two seasons, fans might be a bit touchy, let's not make it more expensive to buy a ticket. Let's think of ways to make it even more affordable and easier to buy to try and tempt them back and to say 'sorry' at the very least. Streaming - we're charging for this service. Shall we make it watchable? Season Tickets - people have stuck with us and bought tickets. Shall we perform one last check to make sure they all work at the turnstile? Beer - given it's hot, shall we just check the temperature of the fridges to make sure people who are hot and thirsty get the very basic cold beer that they're buying?

It’s a great OP
The club has been in relative freefall since the announcement of ‘self sufficiency’ as a strategy, what, 4 years or so ago
Staggering given the Coates family wealth and the revenue we had as a Premier League team

But just look at the sort of people they employ. The security lot outside are animals and haven’t a brain cell between them. The people running the catering. Do any of them have any prior experience in running professional catering prior to Stoke? Do they have food hygiene quals? Probably not. Does the person who has signed the deal with the ticketing system have any experience in the procurement of technology services? Does anyone oversee the contract? Does anyone have any experience in managing a third party supplier? Any experience of overseeing a deployment and managed service? It’s clearly not the case which is why its amateur hour all over the place at SCFC. The basic errors just show that they don’t have the skills in house to run the club properly. They couldn’t do any worse by outsourcing the whole lot.

My brother in law called this morning and said he wanted to go with his kids for the first time. I said they could get tickets from the website.
He ordered 3 on the website. It said they would be posted and charged £2 postage. He knew they couldn’t he posted. He called the ticket office. After 10 minutes they answered.
They said the website is wrong and the tickets could be collected at the ticket office. He works in IT and assumed they would be digital tickets.
He queued up at the ticket office. He got to the front after 15 minutes. They told him pre-paid tickets were from the ‘satellite office’ on the opposite side of the ground.
He slepped round. There were 3 queues - as he neared the front of one he saw signs saying surname ‘A -F’, ‘G—R’ etc.
He was in the wrong line. He queued again.
One hour after he arrived he got his tickets. His kids were bored senseless.
He checked if any of this information was on the website and couldn’t find it. There was no search bar.
He watched that crap.
His kids have told him they don’t want to go again.
Someone earns £700,000 to manage this organisation.

Wow. Just wow. I'm truly taken aback by this. I live on the other side of the world so don't get the chance see Stoke Live. But yesterday I watched Persija Jakarta v Arema FC in the Indonesian Liga 1. There's no food / catering. But everything else works. Order ticket online. Attend designated location between 9am and 3pm matchday to collect ticket (the only real inconvenience due to traffic). Turn up to the stadium. Scan ticket and we are in. Meanwhile people watched on the club's YouTube channel (I believe) or local TV. 51000 attendance and amazing experience for my 11yo lad.
I am genuinely concerned to get him to a Stoke game should we get there after this thread. And we loves Stoke to bits.

the bar at block 30 had to stop selling Pedi before KO because one geniuses couldn’t change a barrel. Thankfully they sorted it for half time.
I’d like to know when the club are going to sort out the mess which is trying to get a beer at half time? It’s a joke of system with people just pushing constantly to get to the front. When I got there yesterday before KO people were actually queuing properly which seemed good only then for a steady stream of dickheads to ignore what everybody else was doing and just push in at the front.

I gave up queuing to buy expensive poorly served beer and wine in the concourse years ago. I now rarely spend a penny inside the ground. Each year we get a fans survey and I clearly try to make the point. Nothing has changed.

People asking on here what qualifications do you really need to serve hot food? Well in Finland a hygiene certificate is a must, along with relative references and punctuality. In order to manage you probably need some sort of managing qualification and/or past experience. When serving masses of customers it's pretty strict, I don't think you can just hire anyone. That and Stoke have a partnership with staffs uni, there's great employability potential and we can afford not to pay minimum wage and make the whole experience for the fans a fantastic (pun intended) one.
In truth it's completely the opposite, only conclusion- the owners really are dislocated, they don't care about the fans, the frozen prices are a gimmick (surely reduced price now as there's no demand for tickets) and the care for the working Class was simply an illusion created by maximum wealth. Stale and horrid club.
Edit: to think we used to laugh at Prawn sandwiches etc.... What I wouldn't give now for some care to be instilled into scfc. Can you imagine a cheese bar, a breeding mini brewery? You may mock but the level of care and attention, never mind hygiene necessary - now compare that with what we have from a billion pound owned corporation. It's clear they don't care - definitive them and us scenario.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that bullshit 'love the weekends again, we're all Stoke' motivational video that was played before the match, what a crock of shit.
The most damning thing is that food hygiene rating. I'd love to get down there and do some legionella testing. It's pathetically amateurish and the incompetent cunts deserve the HSE coming down on them. Clearly they're unaware of the size of the fines that could be levelled at them if they get caught out.

Tony needs to go off on a jolly, sorry fact finding mission, over here to the USA to get a feel how the matchday experience is handled in just about every spectator sport. I am not for a minute suggesting we match such high quality it takes time. But even though fixed ticket prices and free away travel is to be hugely applauded, the matchday experience remains bizarrely in a time warp, hardly evolved in over 20 yrs. Wake up Scholes these are your paying customers!

They’re so many things that could be added to that list that some folk may think are irrelevant but it just sums up the general malaise around the place. Block 15 toilets paper towel dispenser broke last season still broke yesterday Away bus arrives, people just wandering across in front of it so much so that a woman and a child nearly ended up under it yesterday🙄 Stewards that look like they’ve been plucked from a homeless shelter with not a clue WTF is going on with an example yesterday when fans are shouting for assistance in the Boothen.

Exactly the same thing happened to me before KO at the bar beside block 11. The guy couldn’t change the barrel so I ended up cancelling my Pedi order and having a Stella instead. Were they not expecting many people to turn up? At HT the bar queue was several people deep, but just 3 people serving at the same slow pace as usual, and 4 queues (!!!). No organisation, no leadership, absolute shambles - a bit like on the pitch. Needless to say I missed the first few minutes of the second half as I downed my lukewarm Pedi as quickly as possible.

The buck stops at the very top perhaps Coates has lost all interest or is to old to care or take on board what is really happening. The people who work for him must tell him any old bullshit & carry on regardless. Perhaps its time for Peter to say i have had enough & sell up because as things are at the moment we are heading to league 1 rapidly in all respects.
