Another interesting piece on the BBC website from a man who know the Championship better than most. Any team that finishes above Warnock's Cardiff will be at least in the play offs in my opinion.
"We know how difficult it is going to be because last year for example, none of the teams that got relegated came back up."
Warnock has revelled in the underdog role since his arrival in Cardiff in October 2016, but accepts this time that does not apply.
"I think the objective is to make sure we get in the top six. I know that might sound a bit defeatist, but I think when you get relegated that's what you have to do.
"I think probably Fulham, West Brom and even Stoke look the strongest squads this season."
I tend to agree with him. Every chance players like Woods, Ince, Gregory, Clucas plus Collins, Verlinden, Davies and Campbell won't be in the starting 11. Strength in depth few teams in this league can match.

I think this is true to be fair - it’s just that we won’t be playing a system that suits the majority of our players

Most teams in our league would kill for Butland, Edwards, Shawcross, Indi, Collins, Allen, Etebo, Ince and Vokes.

Most teams in our league would kill for Butland, Edwards, Shawcross, Indi, Collins, Allen, Etebo, Ince and Vokes. It's true but I reckon only 4 of those 9 players will start v QPR for various reasons. And we also have £60m of non playing players on the naughty step, forgotten but not gone, yet still handsomely paid, Imbula, Wimmer, Bojan, Badou, Bauer and so on. We'd top any wasted money table by miles.

Most teams in our league would kill for Butland, Edwards, Shawcross, Indi, Collins, Allen, Etebo, Ince and Vokes. There are plenty who would happily take Davies, Baath, Smith, Ward, Woods, Clucas, Gregory and Afobe too. To say nothing of Powell in your original list. Over to you, Nath ;-)

This is the whole point though - the squad is still strong in comparison to most so why the heck shouldn’t we be up there challenging for promotion if the manager is half as good as we told to believe ? Really don’t understand this ‘top half of the table if we are lucky’ talk.

We were the strongest squad last season by a country mile according to nearly every one, so for me we will not find out until about 10 games in...pundits etc just go with their hunch and know about as much as the next bloke,

We still have good players in all departments. It shouldn't be that hard.

Doesn't bother me when people do that tbh, I find it odd. It takes me 30 seconds to pick my phone up, post some drivel then put my phone back down. I love how that automatically means I'm doing fuck all else in my day

We only had 3 center backs who themselves are injury prone until Batth came in January. Not to mention that we were at least 1 wide attacking player short also. Both wide players were left footed and clearly we did not have a balance in these positions. This season we do have more squad depth than previous, we do have 2 players for every position and can field 2 new teams who can compete at this level whilst at the start of last season we didn't have this despite the quality we had
