We seem to be heading in the right direction and Vokes seems to have found some goalscoring form to take into the new campaign, which is nice.
Jones also looks to be narrowing down his selection for the first XI, with most of those in the second half team destined to start v QPR, you would think.

Afobe should have scored first I honestly think he's not good enough should have seen the door Strange as the Wrexham commentators seemed quite impressed by him. Wrexham commentators are obviously experts on Stoke

Pretty good days work, Smith good signs, Powell nice touches, Vokes scoring and our LWB didn't do anything wrong. That's good news three important signings producing, looks like Clucas and Woods are finding some too.

The front 3 from the second half will surely start against qpr

Clucas should be a shoe in for the managers formation. Was my least favorite player last season. But said the same about Whelan for a good 18 months and he shit in my cereal and proved to be an invaluable player. I sincerely hope Clucas does the same.

That's my formation atm.

Batth, Smith and McClean aren’t ideal in the slightest. I’d like to see Collins play but don’t think he’ll do that so realistically I hope we see more of Shawcross and Lindsay than anyone else if he isn’t going to use Collins. If Etebo is back he has to play instead of Allen imo. I think Vokes Powell and Afobe could be very potent. Just a shame we can’t find space for Ince Verlinden and Bojan in that. Not that you could but there is an easy way of getting 4 of them on the pitch at the same time.

He was pretty crap on the whole and a massive cunt but he came in recovering from injury and showed glimpses what he can do. He’s very good going forward, arriving late and should score plenty. And he should drift to the left and provide some quality too that will be missing due to the left back!

Weird no goalie change. I presume that's the last we'll see of Federici, with Davies (who was named before game as second half goalie) getting 90 v Tranmere then Jack taking over for the final two - if he's still here...
Is Ince injured? Why no youth CBs? Annoying about Collins.

You have to put that to one side he did very well Saturday and scored and played well tonight by all accounts. If he performs he's worth a place.

One thing JM does give you in there is a free sub later in a game to change things around, You can have a very attacking bench especially if Clucas starts too.

Woods I doubt will be starting and I also think that Lindsay will be first choice before both Shawcross and Batth.
