It's interesting seeing those line ups side by side and looking at them through the eyes of "two for every position" It changes the perception in my eyes from one of "the left back slot is looking a bit weak" to "actually, whilst not perfect it's not as bad as midfield should one or two get injured / suspended". Does look a bit weak, but we have got Pete Etebo and (possibly) Badou. When you factor in how good the first choice options are, I think it looks very weak. Allen needs to seriously up his game this season and Etebo needs to join up his good general play with some serious output. Clucas just needs to stop shushing.

2 minutes in and the woman on the radio has us down as a "physical side" and one that doesn't "necessarily keep it on the ground"... hmm.

Lasse Sorrenson starting after not being part of the Holland camp is a turn up for the books It is a bit; I wonder whether it was just thought that a bit more time back home was better for his recovery than a full-on intensive training camp? NJ’s clearly looking at quite a few youngsters and fringe players this evening (in the first 45 mins anyway). Good to see really

Commentators stating that we are the set-piece specialists... still living the Pulis era there? It’s weird how stereotypes stick, isn’t it? We can probably count on one hand how many times we’ve looked threatening from a set piece in the last 3 seasons, let alone scored from them

Alrighty then. Just play him in his position ffs. He’s potentially our best attacker and should be used alongside a #10. An absolute waste.

Oh aye the manager should change the entire philosophy which has been the cornerstone of his career and success. All this to accommodate one player, who is having a good performance and assisting in the position Bayern so adamantly wants him not to play. Bayern the tactician everybody

God forbid you might be proven wrong and that Verlinden can actually excel as a #10.
