People assuming hes farmed out so, hes going. Not necessarily so. Season long loan with regular football and a fresh approach, might just be what he needs to make it back at Stoke

He shouldnt get nerves playing in a ground that has a running track and holds under 6000, but then away at the big 3 in Portugal may be different.

Potential to be a good move for the club as well if he uses the opportunity of first team football to develop

He's been decent for the academy, but his big bag of nerves screwed it up for him in the first team, where supporters will never forgive a young lad for not being the finished article or for indeed being insecure. Did he come out and say his nerves got the better of him or is that speculation? He’s not impressed when I’ve seen him play but he did get some games at Hull... Anything - 99% of what's on the oatcake - is speculation unless there are quotation marks. Anyway would you if you were him "come out and say my nerves got the better of me"? Of course you wouldn't. That's be like admitting you're not cut out for the professional game. I've seen him on matchdays though, and he looks very torn up. However I think he's got bags of talent too, so I'm not giving up on him, until he's definitely left the club, and if he does, I'll still keep my fingers crossed that he makes it elsewhere.

Good move, brave one too.
Hopefully it’s the making of him as he’s everything Jones wants in a full back

Good to see it's for a coach who rates him, hopefully he can get him back to the player we were expecting!

Saw him play once in league cup vs Bristol City in relegation year. He was like a rabbit in headlights every time Matt Taylor had the ball running at him. Agree totally out of his depth for sure.

Played every minute for Famalicao in Liga NOS in a very young side mainly consisting of Jorge Mendes players. Currently top of the league until Porto and Benfica play later on. Good to see him get minutes

What a load of hogwash. Trying to cover your inane post, pulling nerves out of the air with no justification.

Personal opinion only but it feels like after you do your medical they take you into a small room and remove any confidence you ever had as a professional footballer.
It’s happening too much to be a coincidence.

He deserves massive credit for moving abroad at that age. Contract up in 2020 though. Decisions to be made.

Well we will just have to see where Mr Jones ends up managing then. I have a cheeky pound on Newport County.

I'm not really sure what his motivation would be to come back here, irrespective of what he says. Once his loan ends, he won't even be a Stoke player (I'm assuming it's a season long loan). So if he does well, surely it's possible that a higher ranked club will come along for him, maybe one of the Portuguese big boys. Is he doing well enough for us to try to extend his contract, or would that be another case of chucking good money after bad? We'll probably need to be making that decision very shortly.

Will never make it here but glad to see he’s getting some game time. I’m not sure whether you mean “here” as in Stoke City or “here” as in the English Championship or PL ? He was highly rated at Hull which is presumably why we signed him. To me this story rather sums up our season. We have a problem covering left back and yet we have loaned out a young attacking left back who came here highly rated, and has now hit the ground running in a foreign country and his team is top of the league against the odds. Something wrong somewhere.

It'll be interesting to see how he does when he comes back.
Because he looked awful for us whether it was for the 23s or the first team. And that's from the off.
He's always been a good technical player within that though.

Sky and BBC reports at the time suggest he signed till 2022 which makes sense given his age at the time and every signing we had then was offered 5+.
With ward signing a one year deal and showing so far he wasn't worth it, I can see Tymon returning and cementing a squad place.

Got to admit I’d previously thought he was on a longer deal, but took the report on face value. 2022 sounds more likely to me, which is probably good news.

He's getting game time and sounds like he's improving - which can only be good for him, and, hopefully for us.
All that said, the 'performance' he gave in the home defeat to PNE last season shall live long in the memory.
