Hope he does well at Celtic. If only he was as good at actually defending as he was at bombing forward he would have been great for us. 😏😏😏 And neither would we have got him were that the case (even though whoever it was thought that was exactly the player that they had signed).

Yeaaaaah... It gets more laughable by the day. Nathan embraces the three at the back.... we ship out the best wingback at the Club. Priceless.... Really? Well let's see if they sign him at the end of the loan?? First couple of games he flattered to deceive for us in a lethargic and poor team.....then we realised who we had given a 5 year contract to. I don't have a lot of sympathy for footballers but I do think he's had a shitty ride at Stoke. Walked in the door as a wingback as Hughes and co. walked out. Lambert played him everywhere {almost} and he did well enough, in the Prem. I thought he was about the best of a demoralized bunch. He at least tried amongst a bunch of shirkers. Then put in the dog house by a moody Rowett who was so fragile he couldn't handle any banter {it seemed}. I don't think we've got enough real evidence to see what kind of player {in the right role/right coaching} we could have had. One of the few that I hope does well when he goes. Maybe just me.

Moritz Bauer Gone !!. Good riddance you say, cant defend. ------- Has anybody noticed how many goals our present defence as conceded. Maybe they should all have joined him in Scotland.

He only has to get fit for four games a season and even Bauer should be able to defend against the likes of Hamilton and st mirren.

I liked his enthusiasm......that was soon knocked out of him by misery faced Rowett!

Oh nonesense. He’s always been the same. It’s just that everyone jumped on the poor positioning band wagon. Well none of our defenders are any good at positioning so I don’t see why this guy has gone from hero to being berated for being given a new contract then dropped from the team. He didn’t do anything. He never deserved to be dropped for Cuco Martina. Even if you didn’t want to play him a right back he’s good on the wing where Lambert played him. No reason for he amount of abuse he’s got on this board. Everyone should be wishing the guy well.

About the same level tbh 😂 Except no Championship level club reach the Champions League qualification regularly and the League itself on occasion. That’s because we’re in England where the standard is infinite levels higher. Put Celtic in the Championship & they wouldn’t get out, upwards anyway. They qualify for the CL because 1 team has to in that pile of junk, open up the CL to the best team in the Championship and they’ll easily go as far as Celtic do.

Good luck to him . Hope he does well and we get some money for him at the end of his loan.
Like many before him I don’t think he got a fair chance to establish himself here and obviously fell foul of Rowet.
Notice no criticism of Scholes who is allegedly on holiday but managed to pull this one off.

My point wasn’t with Bauer, it was at your statement that Championship clubs don’t make the CL like Celtic do... If Celtic were in England, neither would they, simple.

Excuse me for not getting the party poppers out because he’s managed to get him a loan 😂

I agree that if Celtic and Rangers we’re suddenly dropped into the Championship or Prem Lge that they would be at best average.
But make no mistake , like it or not , they are both BIG clubs. Given time and access to the potential riches of English football they would eventually establish themselves and become a force.

How I long for the day we can sell one of these financial deadweights rather than consistently loaning them out.

Given time and access to the potential riches of English football they would eventually establish themselves and become a force. Why...? A few fans we all know that tickets sales are basically irrelevant. Ticket sales cover you best players wages or maybe best two if your lucky, even with a ground such as old Trafford. 350,000 grand a week is hard to cover, these players like ours not even on the bench cover our ticket sales. They would need a huge investor. The top six clubs spent billions (collectively) to form the top six. This will be broken by fluke once in a life time, apart from that it's only going get worse. Clubs like Bury and Bolton are only the start of things to come.
