The average cost of a night out in the UK is now £70 according to research and it's increasing.
My last night out was £15 and that included a tip

Eight pints of John smiths in my local £ 14.80 and a bag of chips on the way home £1.60 all told £16.40 Even if I spoil myself with a pie or fish cake I’ve got change out of a twenty

I spent £50 on Friday night and was in by 8.30, I was ready for a session, she wanted to get home for gardners world But as I'm off to Duisburg in 2 weeks (and Koln 2 weeks later) and wasnt driving I had to head back

It'll be skewed by London figures where entry is more or less £20.

I used to take £30-40 out in the late 80s early 90s and never ran out of money, that would easily do 12-15 pints or more, entry fees, taxis and takeaways in Portsmouth/Southsea area. Mate and me went to Turkey a couple of times early 90s, took out about £30 apiece on a night out and even after a meal in a restaurant, whatever drink we could get down our necks and transport we'd still be left with £20 each in the morning

Is it fuck £70, that won’t even get you tipsy these days.
You need at least £100+ to get even halfway near fingering a whale and spilling a kebab down yourself these days.

We tend to spend a lot of time at home with friends or visit them, not tight fisted at all but for less than £70 we can feed four with wine a plenty.
When our kids go out they don’t go out til 11’ish but drink before they go out

When our kids go out they don’t go out til 11’ish but drink before they go out Yeah - I fell right into that trap with my daughter on one of her first ‘night’s out’. I promisedI’d take her into town on Friday night, thinking of myself at that age. I didn’t realise that it meant taking her and her mates into town at just before midnight, meaning I couldn’t enjoy a weekend drink or two. I was like a caged tiger stuck in front of the TV all evening with just a pot of tea for company. Well I kept my promise. But it was the last time.
