Not a thread that should be descending into a bit of chaos.
Tbf mattyd, I think the way you worded it with the eh noel part did sound like it was directed specifically at sheiky.
Might have been better to specify it in a way of 'I don't like when people call them murdering psychopaths either, it upsets me.'
It did sound directed when you read it back.

That's an outrageous thing to say. Only the lowest turd in the shittiest sewer would lie about such a thing. I'll give you chance to provide some evidence or I expect you to withdraw that remark and beieve me, I'm I'm deadly serious, Tim Dalton. That best not stick around on this board too long. And why do you feel it necessary to name me. I know you have suggested contacting my employer in the past to try to get me sacked for some of the things I have said, but even by your standards thats below the belt. You are a born fucking liar. How the fuck do I know which crazed individual employees someone like you?

Proud as fuck to have served MY Country, and this weekend is National Forces Weekend, where we celebrate our serving, and Ex Military. Though it has hardly been mentioned on MSM. LGBT awareness gets more column inches ( pun intended ) Than this. To all Oatcakers that have had the privilege to serve Our Country thank you all for your service. Great post, Matts, especially the last line. National Armed Forces Day is always celebrated locally on the last Sunday of June with a Parade in Longton Park and march off is usually @ 1400, so this year it will be on 30th June. I've never seen it myself but by all accounts it's always a very big day and is very well supported by members of the public and a great family day out as folks love watching the parade. My lad is on parade there Sunday.

The way this nation treats its heroes is despicable.

Whatever Naval unit I was on there was always a Potteries accent aside from mine. This area punches above its weight for military service and I salute you all, past, present, and future.

It was the writer on one ship I was on, what a guy! I never once queued for money changing, he'd bring it to the MCR for me, had a terraced house in Normacot with a bar under the stairs, handy to go to if we got kicked out of Shelleys

Haha ...when I was serving on Leeds Castle as Falklands Guard ship we often went to South Georgia to resupply the Royal Marines contingent at King Edwards Point Grytviken. Their chef was a Stokie and used to make oaties for Sunday Breakfast. If we were alongside I would always get an invite after he found out I was also a Stokie.

I was FOST in 96-98 in Devonport but I do recall WO Plant when I did DOST on Sheffield prior to the Gulf deployment. If I recall our MEO got him removed from training us because he was upsetting the lads so much. We got Chris Harkness as replacement sea rider who was very very good.
