Qatar got a point against Paraguay at the Maracana. Now for this What the fuck are Qatar and Japan doing in the tournament? Particularly Qatar because they have zero footballing pedigree. £££££ perhaps?

2-0 up against ten men. Game over is it not? Was Suarez doing his usual movie acting? He sure did when I watched for some mins before sleep.

Cannot believe jokanovic has gone to al Gharafi, and they say money doesn't talk

Particularly Qatar because they have zero footballing pedigree. £££££ perhaps? They need extra teams to make the numbers up. It's good. They've done it for ages now. Japan are regulars. in the past Mexico have been. Next year Australia will be in it. Qatar need to play together to prepare for 2022 so it was an obvious opportunity. Also, bemoan their lack of pedigree but they have won as many international tournaments as we have. Mind you, if one of the invitees lifts the trophy one day they might be less welcoming.

I think I just have a massive chip on my shoulder when it comes to Qatar. I hated the decision to give them the World Cup which was clearly corrupt and based on money without any thought to the practicality of the tournament, hence the decision to switch it to winter. So I also dislike any attempts to give their national team any extra credibility. I want them to be woefully under prepared and get thrashed and humiliated at the World Cup as a way of either highlighting the absurdity of the decision to give them the hosting responsibilities. I'm a bit of a traditionalist and think that the World Cup is the place for inter-continental football and continent specific tournaments should stay within their own continent. If the Copa America needs to expand out of South America and is two teams short they should get them from Central and North America in my opinion to keep the tournament on the American continent. Mexico (as have been used before) and the USA would be the obvious choices along with the likes of Costa Rica.

And Africa is preoccupied with their own competition. And Europe had qualifiers and the nation's league. Yeah the Qatar thing is a fiasco.
