Ipswich Town F.C. have plans of returning.
So they've made reinforcements on the goal front. Signed both Tomas Holy (former Chech Rep U-18 and Sparta Prag-keeper) now 27, and Adam Przybek 19 (West Brom).
James Norwood, typical striker from Tranmere Rovers, 55 goals in two years. 28 years old.
I wish Lambert and Ipswich the best!
If both Haugaard and Butland leave, we have to get two keepers in.
I know we have Vokes, Afobe and Campbell. But we still need a typical striker.
So question is, can we do what Ipswich just did this month?

Yes ๐
As for typical strikers, it doesn't always work out that they carry on scoring when they move clubs, remember greenacre we had from Mansfield? Id love a stein, Thorne, sheron, fuller and these were players who weren't exactly tearing it up at there previous clubs but just clicked (eventually) with us.

That's because he was constantly shunted outwide or in a role he couldn't play. I said it on twitter earlier to a post saying Gayle and Rodriguez bring "guaranteed goals", the only bring goals if they're played to their strengths. Pursuing a transfer strategy of "he looks ok, get him in" without reference to any kind of tactical nous or system is what has destroyed this club in the last 3 years.

Campbell looks to be every inch of one if I'm taking your meaning correctly.

I agree, I was just pointing out that a proven goalscorer with one club doesn't guarantee it will happen at his next club and that some of our best strikers have been ones we didn't possibly expect to be

Norwood is a typical League 2 striker, a bit like Tom Pope. Heโll be average in League One.

This is Stoke, we reserve the right to appoint crap managers who sign crap players and nothing is ever done as we'd like it!
