IMHO it's when the fixtures are released. So next Thursday 2018/19 is last season.

At the moment there is no ‘this season’, there is only ‘last season’ and ‘next season’.

Does a season even happen if there’s no-one there to witness it?
🤔

At the moment there is no ‘this season’, there is only ‘last season’ and ‘next season’. Yes. This is close-season, so last is last, next is next, there's no "this" until the first whistle.

When players report back pre season training on 26th June is the start of the new 19-20 season for me..

If so does that mean we are in the pre-pre-season now 🤔 Apparently "interseasonal" actually means "between successive seasons" So we're currently interseasonal.

Technically tomorrow ( 13th) is next Thursday, but I call it this Thursday, and next Thursday is 20th, even though it's not "NEXT". Anyway...Fixtures are out this Thursday...Tomorrow.

Does a season even happen if there’s no-one there to witness it? 🤔 I think Albert Camus touches on this important existential question in L'Etranger.

So when it isn't the football season and we get fed up an how inconsequential weekends are (I do anyway) we can label it post season depression.

If you read the BBC forum then next Season is always Arsenal's year according to their fans so I think we're still in the 2003 season.
