Mohan got more about him than some of this lot. However he was pre 2008 so Some won't of ever heard of him Same with good old Gerry Bridgwood. Anyone post 1970 won't have heard of him! Great song that was replace Bojan and Moha with Ritchie and Dobing der der der der der! Gerry Bridgwood used to go to the Cafe Rima in Hill St. and order burnt toast most days....not a lot of people know this.

At one point him and Shawcross as a partnership were as good as anything I’ve seen for Stoke. Good footballer, composed, could put in a decent cross, loved playing for us. Loved the fans. Why would anyone have a problem with Muniesa?

I can't really remember Nicky Mohan playing for Stoke winning the ball in his own half, going past 2 midfielders, dishing it outwide and then finished the move he started by crashing in a volley from 10 yards out.
It's a song FFS about a player who was immensely popular during his time here, a time in which the vast majority of supporters were on cloud nine.

Whenever I think of Nicky Mohan, the first thing that comes to mind is Martin Spinks saying that he looked like a hardened criminal when he shaved his head before a friendly against Liverpool. I think we won 1-0 with a Stefan Thordarsson free kick.
Nicky Mohan and I are getting old And we still haven't walked in the glow Of each other's majestic presence Listen Mohan, hear my words They're the ones you would think I would say If you were Muniesa

I think a few seasons after we hammered the nails into the coffin of Fabian Barthez's Manchester United career when Goodfellow (?) chipped him from about 40 yards out.

He signed my nipper's Match Attax card away at West Ham and all the while smiling like he just loved life. A wonderful human who played for Stoke. What's not to love?

Pretty sure it was Goodfellow and the ball hit the bar and bounced in off Barthez? He then got substituted and given a spectacular dressing down by Ferguson in front of the dugout.

Just a super nice bloke who always likes any post in relation to Stoke on Twitter id have back in a heartbeat and if i was the club would be desperate to try and sign back this summer if we need a CB and with our need for a LB he should be on our radar especially as Girona were relegated.

Nicky Mohan The reason the fans liked him was because he was the kind of player who left his heart on the fucking pitch. He clearly had an affection for the club and was a gifted footballer with an utterly broken body. He was routinely one of the best players on the pitch when right, he just failed to maintain any semblance of long-term fitness really. Seems to be a complaint about nothing. Still, we all need to get the Mohan going "WITH BOJAN AND MOHAN, DUH DUUUH DU DUH DUUUH"

What's the big love in about with him?? I think he only managed one season where he played 20 games..... And that song we constantly sing about him??? I don't here Players like Nicky Mohan name being sang or Dicko's. Players who achieved things for our club.Is this slippery slope of hitting Modern Football in the same vain as Allez Allez. I think you miss the point. Marc built a rapport with the fans. It was a case of the fans singing his name and he reacts. He reacts in a way very few players do, he keeps smiling when other players would drop their heads. Seldom given opportunities to play he carried on smiling and doing his best, other players would be constantly complaining or threatening to leave but he didn't and the fans appreciated that. It's just fun so let it go man.

Ah yes the unforgettable 1-0 beating of Liverpool in a pre-season friendly. The very same season that we went on to play them competitively during the same season and lost 0-8!! That’s why I take nothing at all either way from pre-season results. Just fitness workouts.

I think we're all missing the obvious here.
If we stick an "N" onto "Moha", we solve the issue and OP's crushing internal rage.
"He played for City, like Bojan and Mohan".
It then rhymes as well.

1) he was underused 2) he just seems the nicest person in the world 3) the song is excellent 2 points spot on bayern but got to question he was underused. Muni was frequently hit by injury and it seemed like he couldn’t put 3 consecutive games together before he was blighted yet again. Some of his lay-offs were pretty lengthy and he was then involved in trying to force his way back into the side again. And unfortunately that cycle kept recurring. Great guy but then didn’t he also try to engineer his way out of Stoke to some degree as well from recollection
