Afternoon all, As much as I dislike Forest I very much liked a gentleman by the name of Brian Smith. He was an avid Forest fan and was one of my oldest friends Dad. Brian lost a hard fought battle with prostate cancer in October 2018. In honour of him his Son, Rory, and some other friends of mine carried Brian’s Forest shirt to the summit of Snowdon in aid of prostate cancer UK. If you can find a moment to watch the video of their journey and follow the ‘justgiving’ link below then I, and many others, would be exceptionally grateful if you could spare a quid or two. On average 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer so even if you don’t donate then please make sure that you are mindful to get checked as the earlier you catch it the more successful treatment can be. Thank you for your time! www.justgiving.com/fundraising/mountsnowdon2019

Good for them, a great cause. However I must take issue with the thread title: you don't "climb" Snowdon you walk up it. Primary school kids do it.

Good for them, a great cause. However I must take issue with the thread title: you don't "climb" Snowdon you walk up it. Primary school kids do it. There are several paths you can walk up(llanberis, pyg, miners) but there are also ways up snowdon not for the faint hearted(crib goch and several cliff climbs) nor recommended for anyone not experienced in scrambling or rope climbs....I would only comment on things you are sure about....good luck to the guy doing whatever route he takes...a great cause and a great mountain(minus the cafe)

Who are you to presume that I know nothing about it? Can i presume you’re a bellend? Way to hijack a thread about a great cause in the memory of a loving family man. They got out, climbed/walked up Snowdon and have raised almost £2.5k in the process. Chayzenbacon, I’m Sorry it didn’t live up to your exacting standards. I’ll make sure they give every penny back and get themselves up Everest using only swimwear and toothpicks 🙄 In the mean time how about chucking them a fiver?

I presume that you know nothing about it due to you saying that Snowdon can’t be climbed....a complete false statement...seems pretty conclusive that you don’t know what you are talking about and think the only way up snowdon is up the llanberis path

Hence the Christ comment initially when he decided to concentrate on being a pedant instead of the good cause

Well done to all of them for doing it. I had mine examined recently, the doctor found lumps, just waiting for hospital appointment.
