For the second time in 6 years Coventry are shunted miles out of their way....the EFL just stand by idly letting shit owners ruin the game.

Heard an interview on Talksport a few weeks ago and cant remember who it was but they had someone on who was quite reputable & they were saying the Fit & Proper test for owners is a joke & purely a paper exercise.. it's like a tick the box job & anybody could simply sit & fill one in!
Theres been so many dubious owners in recent years this theories got to have some credence. Carson Yeung at Birmingham City, Dr Tony Xia at Villa are prime examples of owners who have come in promising the world yet so many fail to deliver.
The case of Billionaire Chinese businessman Dr Xia is a prime example of this, Tells the EFL hes a wealthy businessman so they allow him to take up ownership of Villa yet a year or so down the line his UK money dries up & he cant access his wealthy funds back home to keep the club afloat! Villa were weeks if not less from being in Bolton Wanderers type problems & were fortunate to find a wealthy investor at the 11th hour!

H & J had the Cov podcast bloke on it and he was slagging the EFL as well as they said they had to play within 6 miles of Coventry and they've now said 18m is fine - complete cock up all round including their local council

Disgrace and a embarrassing situation of modern day football, money talks and rules above loyalty

Thier fans seem to have swung the pointing finger of blame towards Wasps and the Council. I find this bizarre logic. The only entity responsible for the prosperity of the club are SISU, the other parties have different priorities and agendas look after.
Wasps have no earthly reason to do CCFC any favours, neither do the council really, apart from for vote winning reasons. Funnily enough, people don't want to do business with you if you keep suing them repeatedly. It's not rocket science.
The buck stops with the club's overly litigious owners for this mess. If they'd put a fraction of the effort they have spent, trying to get something for nothing, into actually running the club properly they'd be a division or two higher than they are. No point bleating about a rugby club and a local authority, this mess is 100% the owners fault and it's the fans who suffer.

Imagine Coventry v Birmingham in the cup... I'm sure something like this has happened before between a Host and Guest. Where they were drawn in the cup, but guest came out as home team, and occupied the hosts part of the stadium...

Maybe, but it would still be in Coventry. They could knock up a few temporary stands a la withdean. Surely 7000 to 10,000 fans in coventry is better than 1500 like it was at sixfields.

It was looked at apparently, but a non league Coventry football club play their games there and just signed a new lease. The owners bullshitted about building s new ground but it was never really going to happen.

They have a decent stand down one side but the other three sides are open. Zero parking for a decent sized football crowd though.
