With him and Etebo available I still fear Jones would find a way to chuck Allen, Clucas and McClean in too.

Was he really that bad at Leeds? I was there and thought he was equally shit along with everyone else. Give him a chance. Can’t be worse than Allen, Clucas or cousins. Yes he was. He didn’t even try to play. The others tried but were just a bit shit. He is worse in that he is a massive twat who doesn’t want to be here.

I think Jones is hoping that he can talk Badou into giving us this season and stay if we are promoted and, if not, go with our best wishes. He has the gift of the gab, but I am not sure that it is even an option for Badou and his agent.
The thing is that a fit and motivated Badou would be our best holding midfielder by far and, with the dynamic Etebo, a major factor in how well we could do this season.

There's a seriously good game of poker going on here. I can't work out if Jones has 4 aces or two pair. According to some on here he definitely hasn't got a pair.

I really want Jones to play him, if he doesn't care then fine we can put this to bed and get rid.
But if he plays and gives his best then it could be the missing piece of the puzzle
So let's go for it against Wigan (we not going to win the cup so let's focus on the league) but at least we will finally know what's going on?!?!

All the talk about having a team we can be tour of bad players that want to be here just more crap from NJ. You can’t pick and choose after you’ve bombed out supposed bad eggs like Pieters, Diouf and Bauer and then try to talk someone round who has literally said a number of times “ I don’t want to play for Stoke City” cos you’ve fucked to your transfer window. It’s bollocks.

NO! That is exactly what he would want! Play him, if he refuses fine him the maximum and repeat until we either never pay him or he plays. And if he turns up and starts but just goes through the motions? He won’t get his move. Catch 22

It is extremely unlikely to happen given past history but what if N'Diaye stayed and played. He is presumably still a class player but lacks motivation. Maybe its nearly night and a time for dreaming but what if Jones could talk Badou around using his known enthusiasm and charisma. Hand Badou the defensive midfield holding role and he becomes a success and a key player for the season with the motivation being to re-establish his reputation. With him excelling and helping carry Stoke to promotion he his hailed as a Messiah. What true professional footballer could resist that role and that challenge, whatever club he is at?
At the moment the situation (as far as we might read it) is good for no one, and probable developments and scenarios are no help to anyone. All parties really need to be both positive and realistic. N'Diaye is presumably fit and a contracted Stoke player. He just needs to start acting like one and bring something to the party.

He’ll play with Imbula in front him running rings around every team. Wimmer will be behind him, a rock no-one will get past, and Berahino will score a hat trick in every match! Can’t wait 😉

Jones won't play him if he is not willing to fight for the cause.
Interestingly Jones talks as though he is here to play, if so he would be a huge asset. Maybe Badou likes what he sees and wants to be a part of it, maybe the atmosphere around the team is much better or maybe he is here in name only.

I don't think he has the stamina to play for Jones either, he has barely completed 60 minutes in most of his time here. Jones requires 10 outfield players getting stuck in, Bojan is good with the ball but without it we are playing a man down. Jones might be faking it with Badou. If clubs think we need him out then they may put in a lower offer thinking we are desperate to unload him. Jones could be saying if your not going to bid what he is worth then we will keep him. Who knows what is going on.

And if he turns up and starts but just goes through the motions? He won’t get his move. Catch 22 He went through the motions at Leeds last year and got his move to Turkey. He'll see no reason why he can't do the same this time... unless NJ can get into his head in a way that was beyond Rowett's motivational skills. As things stand, his absence from the squad in the first two games so far suggest he is still angling for a move abroad. If I was NJ I'd be telling Badou "If you think you can find something better overseas then fine, your agent can keep looking. In the meantime, roll your sleeves up and at least give it a go with us for the next 3 weeks. Focus on playing and let your agent find you a move. I want you to be my defensive lynchpin and help get us to the Premier League where you belong. If your agent finds you something by 2nd September, then you can make a choice. How's about it?" In the meantime, Scholes should be the one telling Badou's agent in no uncertain terms that if Badou goes on loan, we won't be paying a penny of his wages. And if he doesn't accept a pay decrease from whichever club wants to loan him, then he's staying put - it's Badou's choice whether that's in the team, or the U23s.

Funny how if he's so good nobody's wanted him yet isn't it. We saw him for half a season. He did ok but he's a twat. We can manage without him. It shouldn't even be a option to "try to talk him round".

If Badou rocks up fully committed and 'at it' as NJ intimates he will be, then he (NJ) will rapidly gain some huge brownie points.
If, as I still suspect he will, he fooks off to Turkey or wherever and we continue to subsidise his half-arsedness, NJ will not only look / sound like a bag of wind (again) but his points against column will get ever more populated.
(btw, if he does stay and play, can we agree where - is he really the CDM / holding messiah that some have him down as. I thought he is more of, and better playing as, a box to boxer?)

Oddly, for a player who's been contracted to us for 18 months, who the hell knows? I can't remember much about his games, other than thinking he was okay and that he gradually got a bit better. Looking back at a few posts from his signing thread: www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-transfer-badou-ndiaye-1153840?123Lambert said: “He's more offensive I would say – but he will get up and down for you, so he will do his defensive duties as well. “I think he's very good at driving with the ball which is important for getting us up the pitch when we need to and he will get around about people, which is another important factor. www.reddit.com/r/StokeCityFC/comments/7ud6cb/you_guys_transferred_badou_ndiaye_so_pissed_at/He is unlike any player I have seen at Gala. He is very good at defending but also strong as an offensive player. Basically an all round hard working midfield player, you can't get him tired. He compared to N'Golo Kante by many supporters. I honestly believe he could play easily at chelsea or man utd. You guys won't able to keep him for long if he plays like he always does.www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/7tzwzc/stoke_have_agreed_a_fee_of_15m_with_galatasaray/This is my favourite active player. He is fucking awesome. Great attitude, physically gifted, good technique. A really nice guy too, the two times I met him and talked to him. Hope he will do well for Stoke.
Fast, strong, runs for days, great passer/dribbler, alright at defending- definitely worth the £15m
We'd have needed him in our battle for the title. Sad to see him leave, he's a proper beast, and pl will suit him well.

Plays instead of Allen and along side Etebo for me Definitely. Dream scenario is Woods at the base, Etebo and him taking the place of Allen and Clucas, Clucas moved to left-back - and one of Powell/Ince/Duffy at No.10 - behind Hogan and Gregory

Ndiaye may not be fully committed and perhaps he doesn't want to be at the club, however I'd play him any day of the week instead of the waste of space yet first on the teamsheet Joe Allen! If Etebo makes the team Satdee you can bet you're sweet ass it won't be Allen who makes way.
