What's wrong about saying what a good player he is (I agree) and how he would like him to stay? Merely publicly expressing a personal opinion as he is entitled. I think plenty of posters on here would be better keeping their mouths shut but I respect their right NOT to do so He looks like a fool - he’s literally being praising him to whole preseason when you could literally pick any fan to tell you he doesn’t want to play here. He and his agent have said it repeatedly and he showed us at Leeds last season. You can go on and on about players “who want to play for this club” and “a team we can be proud of” and then make exceptions for one of the biggest wet wipes of them all. It’s yet again another contridiction. And if he’s not found another DM on that basis then it’s even worse. I might be wrong but I think he recognises that NDiaye is one of the few remaining players that we can get a fee for and, no doubt in consultation with the club, they've decided to play it cute in the press to try every trick to keep his value as high as possible. He's praised his character and his ability. If he ran it down or refused to answer it would raise suspicion and completely kill his value. It's something the club don't need on top of Wimmer, Berahino, Bauer and Imbula.

I'd take £14m in a heartbeat. Still time to get someone in before Friday. Who the hell thinks we will get even half that for Ndaiye. £14mill not a chance,

I just find it utterly bizarre that he will talk one up and then leave the rest to rot not even getting them fit in preseason.

Typically misleading! But equally, a good AFCON should mean his value is still decent and I don't see why it would have halved.

If he's done well personally at the AFCON, then we might nudge the figure up towards £8m or so. Clubs will know we need to sell though, so I can't see them chucking more than that at us.

Reluctantly I think the sooner he leaves the better. He’s not shown any affinity for the club, and you could argue he’s no respect for those paying his wages.

I see Everton have been rebuffed in an attempt to land Doucoure from Everton. Who knows, they might go back in for Badou. I think we should stick with a £14m valuation. That's what we paid for him on the back of a good reputation in Turkey, and he had another good season there on loan from us. Either that or a player + cash deal for Mo Besic.

Doucouré is definitely a Watford player and has never been owned by Everton.

If we are going to lose him hopefully it will be soonest possible, so we'd have a time to get some other players in.... hopefully we have already some targets lined up.

I would think that there are still Turks partying in Galatasary on the ACTUAL REAL MONEY that we gave them when we signed Ndiaye. Such a pity that they seem to have spent it all and would probably only now be able to consider a loan to get him back.

I feel sorry for whoever ends up lumbered with this twat. His performance at Leeds was a disgrace but at least he gave a fuck and was one of about 5 players who could be absolved of criticism in our relegation season
