Lets stop kidding ourselves the club has been in a unstoppable downward spiral for the last three and a half years and the inexperienced (at top level) Mr Jones is unlikely to be able to reverse that cycle on a limited budget. We are paying the price for our horrendous player recruitment which brought in the likes of Imbula, Wimmer, Berahino, Wolscheid and Joselu for countless millions and we are now unashamedly shopping for B List Championship journeymen and ageing PL rejects. Such players may help to consolidate our position in the Championship but they wont get us promoted and if they did they would need replacing at prohibitive expense. When I first started supporting the team over 60 years ago we were a mediocre second tier club with modest ambitions. I fear that we are likely to remain at a similar level for the foreseeable future.

I'm 48 so mainly watched a ton of shite before this golden period. I thought I never see us in top flight, never mind straight 10 years! I never thought we'd have a half decent England side, we have.
Have faith, or don't go if you're that bemused.
I think our owners will fund sensible tilts at a return, but we're an oil tanker turning though, It'll take time.
I suspect you know all this.

We have more chance of getting up next season than most of the division. Things change quickly as Norwich found out. Not gone forever at all.

Has Crapslinger just re-reigstered under skeelsy's name by any chance?
Just off to the EE board to see if the OP is also complaining about Muslims to clarify
P.S is the OP aware that virtually no clubs promoted from the Championship are ever chocked full of world class or Prem class players, and most that have been promoted tend to be made up of Championship "journeymen" and Prem rejects? By his logic, no club ever would have been promoted to the Prem.
All round a nice load of over-dramatised, hyperbolic, knee jerk bollocks from the OP on this one (just a bit strange that it would appear that his knee happens to have jerked about 3 months after everyone else's)

This wasn’t the normal cyclical failure you might expect from a club like Stoke, it was self-inflicted death by a 1000 cuts . Entirely avoidable with an ounce of vision and a willingness to learn some lessons but both sadly absent from those in charge
10 years pissed down the grid and back we are amongst the also rans, making up the numbers, just happy to be here in the second tier.
Quite an achievement really.

Two immediate dismissals will make an enormous difference to this clubs entire future. Blindingly obvious and not being enacted - how frustrating is that ?

I wish that people would stop quoting ‘experience’ as a key attribute for a manager. It’s totally irrelevant.
This season the top 6 consisted of managers who have less than 4 full seasons’ experience at Championship level between them.
2 of them were virgin managers (Moore, only 6 previous games as a caretaker) and Fat Frank. 2 had never managed in the Championship before (Farke and Bielsa). Of the other 2, Wilder had one full season in the Championship behind him and Smith less than 3.
The ‘experienced’ managers did nothing.
For the love of fuck please stop this ridiculous ‘he’s never done it before therefore he can’t possibly achieve anything’ attitude.
If anything, the less experienced guys are proving more successful.

Crystal ball nope but. 44 years experience working in UK and overseas large organistaions in the energy sector and, I know how sizable multi million pound organisations are supposed to work And, the one in question seems to happily reward failure after failure. There's actually guys there laughing at you all, seemingly capable of fucking absolutely anything up they go near with no consequence. The chief exec pissed on his chips with me years ago over the stadium extension. Then on field and off, it just got worse. A multi billion pound betting company and a sideshoot of a football business run like a dysfunctional corner fuckin shop. Not good enough - sorry.

It won't guarantee the club moving forward. And any new appointments will be made by the people who've been happy with the performance of those two men for the past however many years they've been employed.

We've been rubbish lots of times before but always when we haven't had 2 coins to run together, what is unique to me this time is to see the roof cave in when we are awash with dosh, it's been a fine effort all round!

The rude girl in the club shop and the guy behind the bar in the Waddo suite who always serves the last person to queue up? Would certainly help but think we have more important issues. Don't even start me on the car park fella

Im pasionate but also useless with IT.surely you all know that by now .and my eyes arent so good thesedays either when typing on a phone. I do know a bit about football however SO, Whoever came in to replace these buffoons would be made to know from day 1 - and it made crystal clear, what was expected and what was at stake. And so,the cushy, cosy, lacksadaisical fucking hobby of an operating model for this football club would be ended.

The chief exec pissed on his chips with me years ago over the stadium extension. You blarted like a pre-menstrual teenager for years over 3,000 extra seats that weren’t that necessary you mean. A bit of vanity so we could look like ‘big boys’ playing in the ‘big boy’ league. It actually cost millions and made zero difference to our net revenue. If anything, going ahead with it at all was the mistake, not delaying it.

Scfc Bollocks utter bollocks. the ground never looked finished and it got so bad, our own people could hardly buy tickets on matchday anymore and, it was finally done years too late. (By the way leaving/delaying construction jobs usually means, they cost more). and dave much as I admire what they have done. The Coates family have shown miguided loyalty in spades whilst engaged in an absolutely cuthroat business i.e. owning and runing a football club.
