Saw someone post this on Twitter, fucking hell this awful to see a legend in this state.
I couldn't hear the video properly but someone in the replies says he was asking for cocaine, uploader says it was taken today. He sounds a destroyed man, a shell of the footballer that he once was.

It's not clever and I don't condone it, but if the bloke wants to waste his retirement sniffing beak in dive bars that's his choice, he's a grown man.

Why would you post such a video about someone who’s clearly suffering with his addiction again.

Apologies Obviously you have never suffered from a serious mental health issue or drug addiction. He never let anybody down he just didnt have the career he could of had and the one we all wanted him to.

My sympathy for Gazza ran out long ago.
He’s had access to resources that people in a similar position could only dream of getting, and pissed every single one up the wall.
This only ends one way now, sadly.

This only ends one way now, sadly. To be honest, it's nothing short of a miracle he's still here. In any other walk of life, particularly with regard to the wife-beating, society would have rightly turned their back on him, but because he happened to be a top footballer, it suddenly becomes a tragedy. Unfortunately he's a waster - I'm just a bit too young to really remember him in his prime, all I remember is him in his later career when he was already washed up.

As a footballer genius. As a human being not so much a genius, obviously got demons like Best, but sometimes people don’t want to be saved no matter how many times their loved ones try.

Horrible to see Gazza in a bad way again.

Some times people are beyond help mate, I have tried to help young lads ( I was a youth worker back in the day) and whilst they did have some help I have watched 3 maybe 4 young men drink themselves to death, not pretty and hard for the family but there was something in them that couldn't be helped,I wouldn't say they didn't want to be helped but some times life is what it is. I live in Kidsgrove and people on here of a certain age will know the young men I speak about.

I often wonder what would have come of Gazza if he'd had a strict disciplinarian as a manager, A Ferguson type manager.
I think having Venables as a manager did him no good whatsoever.

Watched a relation suffer with heroin abuse but has somehow come back from the brink and is for want of a better description fully functional now. We all have our demons and face them our own ways sometimes alone some times with support, I suppose it is a bit like the old rocky quote it’s not how hard you hit it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep going forward.

He might've won more medals but his life would have unravelled the same. The main problems come when the playing career ends. George Best used to get annoyed how everyone seemed to know his life story and made incorrect assumptions. Best said clearly his drinking spiralled out of control when he finished playing.... so he went to play in the USA and the format of their league didn't really help. Gascoigne is similar. Unhinged though he's always been, playing gave him a focus and structure. And despite what they like to imply, when you finish you get wiped like a dirty arse.

Look at our own AFL, Ben Cousins is no different to Gazza
