What would you realistically be happy with for next season? I would say
Get the deadwood out of our club, bring in a younger core that will fight for every point we can get and hopefully be the foundations of a side that can get us back up within the next 2/3 years.
Mid-Table (10th - 14th) without getting caught up in a possible relegation scrap, the odd flirtation with the play offs if we're really lucky, even if we're not quite ready to seriously compete up the top end of the table.
Continued promotion of the youngsters - Campbell, Verlinden, Sorensen and Collins (if he stays) to get regular game time - Tommy is already first choice right back.
A decent cup run - I'd be delighted if we could get to the 5th round of the FA cup providing we dont get a top 6 club early on.
The odd great performance - would be nice to occasionally stick 3 or 4 on someone.
A spine that will continue to gel and improve over the course of the season, giving us a chance to possibly have a serious push towards the play offs the season after.

Win the league. Should be the aim of every club until mathematically impossible .

Looking at Mr Jones' first few months with us and our supposed signings, right now I'd settle for mid-table and the start of ridding the club of all the shite it's accumulated over the last few years.

Promotion. Don’t care how but if we don’t do it next year it’s likely to be a very long time

At least 8th, it would show a decent amount of improvement from this season and given how Jones has been talking since he's been here he needs a strong season.

Heated seat. Massage at half time. A lift up to my seat instead of using the stairs. Nice meal and a pint brought to me 30 mins before KO. Nobody fat or smelly within 10 yards.
Anything good happening on the pitch is a bonus.

Not sure parachute payments are be all and end all in this league. If we do have large chunks of deadwood to get rid of and doing so might require several transfer windows... we might actually be in a stronger position in 12 months???

Automatic promotion without a doubt. There are no stand out teams in this league, the important things are organisation and work ethic. Every team we faced last season had that in abundance and if you throw in a bit of quality you're not going to be far away and despite the shit season we've just witnessed I still think we have a bit of quality at the club. We badly lacked work ethic and organisation for large parts of last season, Jones gets that right and we're in for a good season.

Get rid of as much deadwood as possible, establish a style of play, bring on a couple of youngsters, a few big wins (+3) and end the season looking like genuine promotion contenders for next season - 7th to 10th is fine by me.
I think promotion next season might be too soon. Obviously I'd be delighted but we are starting again and need to rebuild the foundations of the squad - if we go up with the job half done we'll struggle.
Oh and the fans all on board about this being a long term project and not just a quick fix. But that's not going to happen...

Promotion.
The manager will be backed, he needs to deliver a promotion push. Minimum expectation is play-offs.

Promotion. The manager will be backed, he needs to deliver a promotion push. Minimum expectation is play-offs. That’s what the board will expect with backing him. Time for jones stop the talking and start the walking. Most managers are lucky stay some where 3-4 years so he ain’t going get that long build a side. That’s the difference between a good manger and not so good. How quick they can turn it around. Interesting next few months.

Younger, pacier players. Not looking too good so far with the rumours. I really want to believe in Jones.....but all the evidence so far points to us being midtable, laborious shite.

I want us to win 15 home games and play the fast attacking football that NJ keeps talking about- so a minimum of 50 points from our home games (5 draws, 3 defeats). I have no idea what our away form will be like but 8 wins and 9 draws will give us 83 points and we will at least make the playoffs. Realistically looking at the 3 we are linked with at the moment and possibly a left back who can do the diamond role and a proper holding midfielder we will probably manage 12th-I’m not sure that is in the realms of a worthwhile improvement; but until the season starts it is all supposition.

If we can be competitive from the off then top 6 is probably attainable, even if we miss out it should be a much improved experience and would give hope for the future. So many things can go wrong (and right) that setting expectations is always dangerous, however, aspirations are something else...

Top 10 finish ( May revise expectations at Xmas time!), and NJ to be given the backing to do what he needs to build a team. Ideally lots of th youngsters get opportunities. Sadly they’ll need to take a financial hit to be rid of some of the residual crap

Realistically I would say play-offs. Auto promotion not beyond the realms of possibility but I can't see it.
For me, doing well enough to avoid any talk of yet another new manager would be good enough. And a few goals please!

Hope: 10th and rid of N'Diaye, Imbula - 2-3 good signings and a clear style of play. Expect: 12th-16th and Jones gone by around Xmas

Mirror what Villa did. 1st season bottom half. 2nd season play offs ( miss out ) 3rd season Play off ( promotion )
Though I'd rather we get promotion via the play offs at the 1st time of asking.

I'd sacrifice promotion next season to give Jones the time to assemble a squad that will be able to compete in the Premier League. At the moment we are a million miles away from what we would like to be.

Got to be the play-offs surely!
We have to turn 10 of those draws into wins.
Can't be aiming any lower than that.
We were sterile last season, not crap.
Come on oatcakers, lets stop being arses!
