2 Hypothetical questions...
ITN Just interviewed some ticketless dipper fans in Madrid, one fan said he'd pay 3 Grand for a ticket.
Question 1...
Lets say it was Stoke in a Champions League Final, with demand far exceeding supply for tickets, and you were lucky enough to get one at face value.
Would you sell it for say 3 Grand.
Question 2..
You decide to go to Madrid without a ticket, what would you pay...For me the tops I would pay would be about 200 quid, I can easily afford more, but on principal I would not like to be fleeced.
Worryingly the reporter said ticketless fans far out number those with tickets.

I'd probably keep the ticket. If I had one and I was over there you'd imagine money wasn't much of an issue anyway overall and the night could be memorable.
And I wouldn't fly to Madrid without a ticket if you can't find a fleece while you could make a holiday out of it, you'll be disappointed for the course of it anyway as you couldn't get what you really wanted.

Sell it, pocket the money and watch it with my mates who never had tickets in the first place in the pub.

I paid a friend £350 face value for an England v Australia rugby ticket at the last World Cup in the qualifying group and I don't even like rugby so I guess the answer is I may well stump up the full 3 grand if that is what it took. You can't take it with you and being there if Stoke were there it must be worth, what, the cost of getting your driveway block paved or something. If we went and won it you could dine out on the story to your dying day, conversely no one gives a shit about your driveway !

It’s a total different scenario, Liverpool have been there many times, stoke have never been and it would probably be the only time they got there, unless some billionaire came along and bought the club. If I had the chance and money definitely would go, never sell. The same goes for England in a World Cup final, these are one offs in my lifetime, something one can only dream about

To say I was there, watching my team, in the final of the biggest club competition in the world, yes definitely I would stump up £3000.
If we became regular visitors ( yeh right ) to a final of this magnitude then probably not, but the first time we did it then it's a must do surely, whatever the cost?
To see any other team in the final, I would like to go of course for the whole experience but I wouldn't pay anymore than face value. Its just not the same when your own team isn't involved.
I went to the Man City/Brighton FA cup semi at Wembley this year with the Brighton lot. I have never felt so emotionally detached in all of my life.

a bit of tout bashing would be going on, get a few tickets, sell them at face value to real fans, hopefully get a few more into the game and pay my own trip costs

1. If you class yourself as a Stoke supporter and want to sell a ticket to see them in Europes biggest club game, you might as well give up and try something else.
2. I'd head over to the destination for the trip and see what would happen. I think I'd take a chunk out of the savings account just incase.

I paid £500 for 2 cup final tickets in 2011 (from local fa), guess if I was already in Madrid I'm fairly committed to the game, so probably £500 for 1 ticket.

Liverpool’s allocation was 16613 11% for players , former players etc 25% contractural allocation (hospitality and former shareholders) 1% commercial partners General supporters 63%
Ticket prices Cat 1 £513 ..300 tickets .. players , former players , club allocation Cat 2 £385 Cat 3 £154 Cat 4 £60 ..
Liverpool allocated their general fan tickets thus season ticket plus 7 out of 12 ties , guaranteed ticket ( at least one away needed ) season ticket plus 6 out of 12 ties got you into a ballot believe this was 4 times over subscribed
If we allocated similarly, based on the above I’d expect ( as would many ) to be sorted..
Sadly never going to happen

The experience is more than the game. I can remember more about the square and the streets of Valencia than I can about the game, for example, so I wouldn't be averse to going over there without a ticket.
I reckon I'd probably go up to about £600 / £700 to buy one, but I wouldn't sell it for anything below about ten times that. Even then I'd be furious about it, but every man has his price.
