Didn't he nearly break one of our players legs once with a horror tackle and he got away with it? think it was on Joe Allen if memory serves me right. Yes away in the 2 2 draw...

Again whilst I agree we are an attractive option for players I'm amazed at the caliber of players some of our fans think are rubbish and that if It's not Messi or Ronaldo forget it. Ah yes the great Harry Arter, the bastard son of Pele and Maradonna, God of all football. Or back in the real world, Harry Arter, what the fuck does he actually do?

Doesn't exactly send the pulse rate up. Utter mediocrity, no better than Clucas.

I'd say he's one heck of a lot better than Clucas This is a guess but a semi educated one, per minute Clucas was probably our most creative player last season. And he is actually a really good footballer but we signed him injured and he didn’t do that well after his initial good start. But he did score a couple and he created a few more. As one of the two in midfield I think he could excel if he stays fit.

Is it physically possible to have a tug of war between three clubs?

There seems to be a developing change in the transfer market dynamic for this next season. For a while two seasons back every player that we were apparently interested in seemed to be also linked with Crystal Palace and West Ham. Now we seem to be repeatedly mentioned in the same rumours as do Leicester and Aston Villa.
Have we got a new batch of Sports Writers assigned to our case?

As one of the two in midfield I think he could excel if he stays fit. I'm shocked and surprised that I find myself agreeing with you Bayern! With Etebo and a DM behind them both, I see Clucas being an important player for us. His left foot is useful and he's good coming from deep to chip in with the odd goal. He's yet to get back to his best. I think Joe Allen will go and we'll keep Woods as back up. Powell in front of a midfield like that will give us a good unit. Not loads of flair, but tough to beat and break down. The defensive midfielder we buy is key.

Another over 30 bruiser in the Eddie Clamp mould...surely we MUST do better than this. We need pace, youth and players fighting for places not players on their way down.. I thought NJ got that?

If we put to the side the probable wage concerns, the fact he's a horrible human being and he's old and his lack of ability. Where would he play if we did sign him? Surely he's more of a Etebo/Allen/Clucas player than an advanced or defensive player.
I really wish I could muster the faith some have in the club with the apparent moves we're looking to make.
